Re: Knitting

Hi @Judi9877 @Gwynn @BlueBay @Eve7 @roses

I have just found this thread and think that it is great. I am an avid knitter and usually have several projects on the go at once.  I haven’t touched anything for a while so I need to get going again and this thread is just the motivation to do that

thank you

Re: Knitting

Hi @Eve7 . I love the knitted baby clothes! They are so cute! Well done to your mother! I've got a baby jumper and a baby cardigan in the works that I'm knitting for charity that I started when I was in a mental health facility about a month ago and have to work on. I've also got other knitting projects on the go as well including a blanket using squares for myself.

Time to go! Have fun knitting forumites!

Re: Knitting

Hi @Peri @Gwynn @BlueBay @Eve7 @roses @Daisydreamer and everyone here. Below is a photo of my Mindfulness Scarf that I have been knitting to help with my mental health issues. It's on 5mm needles with 40 stitches on it with a 2 row pattern. The pattern is knit 2, purl 2 for the odd rows and purl 2, knit 2 for the even rows. Each colour will be 25cm with red, blue, green and gold between the cream sections which is every 2nd section to make the scarf 175cm in total. I hope you like it!

Re: Knitting

Lovely, @Judi9877 !  I finished my teal scarf and gave it away to its new owner, and I started on a navy blue scarf in the same pattern.  I'm getting better at making fewer mistakes now and being more able to recover it myself rather than handing it to my mother every five minutes.

Re: Knitting

Hi @Gwynn  Well done on your scarf being finished! Talk about a massive achievement forumite! I'm so proud of you☺️👍!

As for mistakes, I still make them and whilst they do get me annoyed and a little upset at times, I've come to accept that I'm not a perfect knitter and that each mistake makes that item unique whereby no other item will have that mistake in it. Sort of like an added bonus to the item that wasn't meant to be there but has now appeared and I love it even more! Also, it gives me a chance to learn from the mistake in regards to fixing it and going from there. I hope this helps!

Have fun knitting!
