Top of this fine saturday morning to y'all 😎
Been diagnosed with Schizoaffective, Major Depressive & PTSD. (Finally a bit of helpful clarity)
Psychologist has encouraged me to apply for NDIS.
Is there an organisation that helps with this application? Likenguides you through it or helps you write this stuff?
Thanks again and take care lovely people 😊☮

Greetings. Eventual diagnosis is a grand thing, yes.. but, can become just as grand a questionnaire. NDIS application can be handled by most nearby social working critters, but, you must make sure the paperwork is like absolutely current, otherwise they refuse to process.. as if your condition has changed in 5 days. 🤷♂️ Then, if you don’t mind understanding that to swim in a pool could only occur on a Wednesday, at a location supported by NDIS, employed by people being paid,.. I sh*t you not, $160/hr to make you wait until Wednesday.. sure. You'll soon get a grip on the awesomeness of it all. But hey mate.. if you just require assistance with house keeping, they generally ensure someone drops off a vacuum. 🤣

There's no organisation that helps you apply for NDIS - more people (and more children, and more people with psychosocial disability) are on the NDIS than it was designed for which is why the mainstream media is like cost blowout this, fraud that, whenever NDIS is mentioned. It also doesn't help that the NDIS is an oasis in a desert of disability support in Australia.
If you're on Facebook, try the NDIS Grassroots Discussion group for some ideas: /groups/239631286154106/
