Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
Yes @Shaz51 I was on a low-fibre diet for 6 months, after my 2 emergency bowel surgeries - whilst I had the stoma (ileostomy) & the bag.
Then low-fibre diet again, after my reversal surgery (when re-connected), but only for a few weeks.
I also had to have "thickening foods" like starchy things & peanut butter.
The low-fibre diet wasn't too hard - but I did miss my wholemeal bread & vegies.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
Hi all. Motivation is low but I want to achieve SOMETHING today. Not sure what else to write. Feeling very tired and emotional 😖. Just looking for a leg up...... I have no idea what that is though 😳

Don't worry about how big or small your acheivement is @Teej. It can be anything. A shower, washing the dishes, a load of washing.
What do you think is acheivable for you?

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
I looked in the mirror and looked 105 @Sans911. It made me realise my tired might not be psychological tired but more physical.
I just ate breakfast in the sun and that has helped. Brain is starting to switch on. I think it feels like frozen pipes. It takes a long time to thaw out before you get running water 😳. Then you have to check for cracks 🧐
Thanks for responding, I was starting to circle out of control a bit with self hate - I’m so lazy stuff, I’ll never get to be able to work stuff 😨:face_with_rolling_eyes:
im going to try to take the dog and water pots. I might be pushing it but try for a healthy tea.
Have you got much on today?

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
You've achieved 2 things today- breakfast and getting some vitamin D! Well done.
I'm in that space of self-hate too. My thoughts tell me I'm not depressed, just lazy and stupid. And yeah, it feels like I'm too broken to ever work again.
I've just gone to pick up my meds from the hospital pharmacy. I pick them up Monday and Thurs. I'm still too much at risk to even have weekly. I despair sometimes of ever being safe enough and wonder if I will survive much longer.
So I've just got back home, and jumped under the covers of my bed because it's cold. I've been awake since 4:30 when my cat kept jumping on me to be fed.
So I might have a nap soon. Just watching Netflix right now.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
I can completely relate @xtine. It's a daily thing. My husband for the first time ever told me of what he's going through so I suggested he and me get support. We went straight to a friend and spoke to them what is happening. He is thinking the radio and Television are speaking to him and we discussed it for a while.
Im wondering if you have someone that you can speak to to get a non judgemental response. We went to see our pastor and his wife from our church ....what about your Gp ?
