IHiya all .....
Posted this on another thread, but @NikNik had suggested I drop it into the Coping Box as well ..... so here it is .....
Hi @NikNik 😊
When I am having a blah day, I call it a pyjama day, whether I'm in pyjamas or not, and take the day off .... as much as I can get away with it around here, that is ....
I have been known to go out in actual pyjamas on pyjama days .... but they have to be pyjamas that resemble real clothes, enhanced by a scarf and boots or something, but that's about it .... 😌
I am not alone in this endeavour .... I have seen people in Mickey Mouse pyjamas or Onesies in our local supermarket, albeit after about 7pm .... adult people that is .... 😏
What else I will do on pyjama days is make a list of three things .... that's the deal with pyjama days .... and even if I don't achieve the three things, I am obliged to try.
The three things might be -
1️⃣. Put a load of washing through the machine.
2️⃣. Give myself a sponge bath and change underwear.
3️⃣. Make dinner.
One of the three things has to be a self-care item ..... ✅
Oh, and I have to eat ..... even if it's a bag of nuts or savoury biscuits, banana, something that has food value .... ✅
It's what I call "having a day" ..... And "running raids on the housekeeping from my room" ....✅

Hello @Faith-and-Hope, @Crazy_Bug_Lady, @dash, @Ffm48. @BlueBells, @NikNik
Hello @Faith-and-Hope
When I am having a blah day,, the trouble is my husband usually doesn`t have a Blah day the same day as me
which is hard because I usually have to keep going even though I DON`t want to

Hello @Faith-and-Hope, thank you for your message xx
I can`t take the credit as My mum has always had the attitude that pulls you through .... and has passed it on to me
How has your day been xx

My mum was a treasure too @Shaz51. I was really blessed with that ....
My day was good mostly, but have had a bit of a junked up evening ....
My WH was agitating earlier, and I got to the point of a melt-down, which he treated off-hand, then a short time later asked to speak to me, on a completely different subject, as if the whole issue before hadn't even happened ....
No point wasting my breath raising it with him .... nothing to be gained from it, and more to lose ....
:face_with_rolling_eyes: 😠😡 ....
So here I am on Coping Box .... coping ..... 😏

I have learnt over time there is No point wasting my breath raising it with him as well , I have to pick my time -- I don`t know if this is right to do but it keeps the peace xx
I sure my mum worries about me , she doesn`t say much but I can feel it
My Hubby , I think is getting annoyed that i am on the computer ,
I have a few different projects which I am involved in at the moment, which my mum is very happy about , lots of writting and saving information

I would add my journals to a coping box: I don't read them often but they are a record of how far I've come in the last couple of years. I would add a few of my favourite toys: my giraffe because he's got really big expressive eyes and my elephant because he's soft like my dog. The phone number of the 24 hour counselling line that is always available to me. My big plastic kids' block because I find building things with them really soothing and distracting. My dog, because she's always there for me.

@Faith-and-Hope I saw your post pointing to this thread in the morning thread. What a good idea.
Im adding cross stitch, even though it's hard to concentrate on while struggling, it's a break from thoughts. 💞💞
