@outlander It’s a good thread. Unfortunately, I don’t know where to start.
I live with chronic pain, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis . My mental health is definitely affected by constant pain, and physical health affected by mental pain.
Anyway, I’m stuck at the moment, but will get back when I have something to say.
Thanks for opening the discussion. It’s an important one I think. 🧡🧡

Hi @destructive @outlander @Maggie @Powderfinger
I think this is an excellent idea - and I think there are other people with chronic pain here - @Emelia8 @greenpea etc - I will have to have a bit of a search and find some more - I know they are here
Investigations have proven that my areas of chronic pain have arthritis and other orthopaedic damage that have caused the pain I have - and I was lucky to find the pain specialist I saw 15 years ago in the public system and I have had a lot of relief with his "magic needles" of local anaesthetic into the affected areas and the last one - radio-frequency neuropathy which put the nerve in my shoulder to sleep - I still have pain from the arthritis and osteophytes in that area but it has been otherwise successful
My suggestion is not to give up - pain is caused by something and a good specialist will not consider that it is "all in your head" - the pain is real and causes suffering and is a rotten life-changer.
And many people are finding it harder to get pain killlers - we need to see a pain specialist now to have reasonable access to most pain killers and this has to be tough for people on a restricted income. There are public pain specialists but the waiting list is so long there are waiting lists to get onto them. This is not encouraging
The idea is to make life-style changes and this can be really hard when we are in pain. However diet, exercise, a routine, fresh air and drinking water are all important. I think these areas are where we can help each other as a supportive group of people
We need professional help too - the problems need to be investigates professionally - and then - we can look at other things to help.
Great start Outlander - I am looking forward to hearing what other people have to say
And I do have plenty to add about the affects of loss, mental and/or psychological issues and family stress - stress itself. I will continue as I read what people are deal with

@Maggie @I'm so sorry you do Maggie. If It could wave a magic wand and take it all away, I would in a flash.
