No, I don't get to see her much. The cats are very attached to me, and don't tolerate strangers too well. So I don't go down there to see them anymore. I'm planning to go for a week at Christmas, so on the hunt for a house sitter. I've a couple of people to consider.

Good one @CheerBear
Hope you find a sitter @Sans911
@outlander I suggested the interior castle idea more as a developing of an INTERNAL safe place, call it a cave, cocoon, "happy place" whatever. Managing mental health issues seems to come along with managing imaginative issues. Its a technique that you can personalise to your own situation. Its a mental place, a place of last resort. It also works the self care muscle ??lol...
I had a gf at high school who always had more problems than me, inspite of a beautifully decked out bedroom. She felt she was bribed by her mum and stepfather to accept family things that she was struggling with ... so she became ambivalent about her bedroom. At the time I was sharing a bedroom and a bed with my little sister, so tho I was amazed at the the concept of personal space, I could see the genuineness of her predicaments.
