Re: rough time
Mood journals can sometimes be hit or miss. I tried it a year ago as part of my depression group help but found it ended up doing little. In the small time it worked how ever, I found it a useful tool to tell me about what would often lead to negativeiity. Being able to pinpoint thinking styles and patterns that lead to lower moods was good as it prevented me from doing it as much later on.
I am convinced that you have improved. Even if you don't think or know. I can tell by the way you speak and write that you are more reflective which is good.
I went through a similar period in the past. I was confused and lost. SI would be there too. I realised that a good way of getting trough it was to think of the ideal situation that I would like to be in and aim towards it.
Do you know what that might be?

Re: rough time
I'm ok @outlander
It has been a little bit of a better day today. The BPD meeting I went to last night was very interesting. Lots of clinicians, which it was aimed at. I went as a nurse, mainly so I can use the time for mandatory professional development. I also had an interesting chat after the event with a very prominent person in this state, who despite his position is relaxed and approachable. He was quite interested in some of the mental health volunteering things I was doing. I think just being in a room full of people who validated the health system is failing those with mental health issues was good for me, so I didn't feel I had to justify my crappy treatment I received. They already got it.
My current support worker left today after she came back from 2 weeks off. But I think I have processed that already. Just have to get used to someone new again, which I have seen here twice now, and it's been quite ackward. I just wish it wasn't so difficult to get to know and trust people.
But I have had a busy day, with a bit of running around to do things, talking to some people, did my volunteer walk so yeah, really tired now. I wonder how will I ever be able to work a 6-8hour work day if this kind of day exhausts me?
I have taken my meds just 5 mins ago, so won't be here much longer lil Sis.

Re: rough time
After chatting to you guys last night it had me thinking about my options with a psychologist
So these are the options i can think of atm ( but other suggestions are welcome of course)
I have 3 sessions left in the mhcp.
The options i can see are
OPTION 1-keep looking for a bulk billing psychologist
Good: its abit more permanent with more regular sessions
Bad- might take longer time to find someone
OPTION 2-ask headspace if they would be able to put me on the waiting list (atm is estimated a 2 monthsish wait) but only do monthly sessions with them
So if i got in at around August with 3 sessions would take me to november and then 2 months without while i wait till the new year
Bad-With this i am abit concerned about how it would work with long gaps and trying to prioritise the sessions..
Good- i will have supports abit more now even if theres a wait list
-OPTION 3 wait abit later in the year but still spread sessions out but will be closer to getting a review
Bad- wont have supports till end of yr and by then circumstances may have changed
Good- if i wait then ill be able to make sessions abir closer
Other thoughts-
1. seek out a mhcp psychologist then try to afford monthly sessions without the rebate..
2.-ask headspace if they do sessions outside the mhcp ( so like private paying sessions) so that i wouldnt have to change psychologists or wait till next year to see the psych again. Im not sure they do this so have sent an email already asking.
EDIT!- I just received an email from headspace. They dont allow me to continue seeing the psych privately once the mhcp is finished. They have suggested i either go private or wait until later in the yr (november/december) so that i have the 3 plus the 10 early next year. They have placed me on a waitlist but i can ask them to take me off it ( till later in the year or if i find someone else) or i can stay on it but its up to me.
Im interested to know what others' thoughts are please
