Re: rough time
I will write my letter later tonight - @outlander - I will do this in Word because writing long-hand is such a commitment - I can use up so much pretty paper that way - in Word we can just delete and start again. And tomorrow I will make a point of going out first thing and sending it Express-Snail-Mail because I want them to get it this week and I tend to use Express Mail for special letters - my rellies are not well and it's hard to contact them atm
Some of my anniversaries are their anniversaries - that is why I have been putting it off but I know myself - I will do the right thing at the right time - pushing myself to do such things as writing long personal letters is something I will do when the Spirit moves me
Btw - hearing you say you wish you had something positive to write is a good thing - good things need to start with something - a motive has to arrive in the world somehow - you want to be better - and you do things to make things better - and I so admire this in you - and I can tell you this
A life worth living might not seem so early on - mine didn't - but I worked on it - going to night school was a start - and it's hard work - as you know because you have done courses - and anything worth having - anything you will really value - is something that just doesn't drop into your lap - it's something to think about, to be motivated about and working at - and your saying you wish you had something positive to write - that wish will eventuate - you have already proven that you work at things - it will be a good life when you look back
Oh yes - it took me years to realise that but it's true

Re: rough time
Hi @outlander, sorry all that happened today. Getting that kind of response is one of those things that happen on our journey to a good psychologist. At the least, it tells you that person is not for you.
It's difficult the issue with the three or four sessions you have left for this year. But that shouldn't really be a problem for a good psychologist. You could space out your sessions so at least you got whatever you could from them for as long as they last. And then go back to the psych next year, knowing something about them, and them you. That way is forward progress, I think, if you can get it to work with an as yet unknown psychologist.
I see my psychologist monthly so as to have less time between the MHCP running out and the next round of sessions on that scheme. Sometimes I think there are advantages to spacing out psych sessions. It give you time to process what has happened and been discussed, and try to learn from it, and let that learning sink in.
Anyway, it all does suck for you today. Hugs for what went down. Just want to encourage you to keep looking when you've had a chance to recover.
