Bahaha yes I work from home @ArraDreaming but LOL just picturing me painting my nails in the office and talking about 'my kitties' that is hilarious
Aww that's tough @Glisten I'm so sorry. And you're right, if studying something I actually have an interest in, I thrive! But doing maths? Not so much 😅

@Jynx What about practical math. For example, when I’m doing woodwork, I don’t have to calculate certain measurements, because I already know the answer. I don’t think about the answer, I just know it.
I don’t know why. My brain just works that way.
So try not thinking about the math. Just pick the number that comes to mind. It’s probably correct.

@Glisten
I grew up studying pure maths at uni, but I hated the institution. A couple years after that I read a book called Chaos Theory: Making a New Science by James Gleick and it changed the way the logic worked in my head, and now linear calculations are beyond my scope of what is actually normal.

@deshift it’s always nice to discover how our brain works. Makes life easier.

@Glisten I mean, I perfomed pretty well in maths at school, it's more about my ability to sustain my focus on a subject that was quite dull. History was even worse. Like I loved learning about ancient cultures and that kind of thing, but memorising dates and such? Yuck.
Also you just reminded me of this meme haha:

@Jynx some Primary & High Schools have evolved little from the first concept of free education.
Others have embraced students immediate family and community with a view of lifelong learning.
Dates - is no way to teach history.
His-Story - It is the story of humankind.
Our relationship with our world.
Our sameness.
