Re: The great yoga adventure
Good morning everybody.
Happy yoga day @CheerBear!!!
@soul I am super excited about getting my child-pose shirt today. I wonder if @Zoe7 might be able to make a picture of me wearing it after I get it.
So...this week, by popular demand, we are doing bridge pose. Here is how to do bridge pose: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY9TLhKIQdE
@Adgeand @soul bridge pose turned out to not be as scary as I thought it was. The other week in my yoga class, we did what my teacher called "full bridge pose." However, cruising around the internet this morning, it seems that what she called full bridge pose is generally called wheel pose. So that's what I had in my head yesterday when I was saying that bridge pose might be a bit too tricky.
I'm super hoping that everyone will have a go at being a bridge this week, but remember, it is super ok to not be able to do it - we can always do with more trees in Forum Land.
Alright everybody, let's get to work building bridges. Hey @NikNik, we are building bridges in Forum Land...that sounds deep.
I plan to be a different bridge every day. Today I am going to be the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Hmmm...who can I harrass encourage to be a bridge this week.
@soul @TheVorticon @Shaz51 @Sans911 @Maggie @Ant7 @Adge @Mazarita
@BlueBay @CheerBear @Anony18 @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member.
And maybe some new people? Who haven't I harrassed encouraged to come yoga-ing with me before... @Bubbles3 @frog @Former-Member @Former-Member @outlander @Former-Member @Pepsimax. Hee hee, I want to build LOTS of bridges in Forum Land.
Happy yoga-ing.

Re: The great yoga adventure
Good morning yoga adventurers 🙂
Happy yoga day to you @Phoenix_Rising! I don't have my usual class for a few weeks now so I might have to make more of a regular visit to the strangest yoga class in the world here, while I wait for next term.
Bridge sounds great 🙂 I will try to be 7 bridges this week too and maybe find some bridge inspiration on Google. Today I plan on being this quiet little tucked away bridge
Happy bridging, or treeing, or birding or babying to anyone joining in. Hope that whatever you choose to do today, you enjoy a moment being in your body 🙂
(And @Former-Member - I loved that picture of cheer bear 🙂 I needed a new cheer costume thank you!)

Re: The great yoga adventure
I am feeling generous and want to reward all those who performed the Child's Pose this last week. I know @Adge and @Phoenix_Rising have been very diligent. And I think there might even be one for @frog who's joined us today.
I've found a few different styles so help yourself. First in best dressed.

Re: The great yoga adventure
Oooh I am superly duperly excited that you are joining this most peculiar of yoga groups @Former-Member. The story started with @CheerBear and me embarking on our first ever yoga class together-but-not a couple of months ago. And then @soul decided to start going along to a class too...and seems to have become completely addicted because she goes pretty much every day.
There are a few other people who go to a class, such as @Adge and @Ant7, and then there are others like @TheVorticon who declares he is never ever going anywhere near a class...but is happy to do some yoga-ing at home.
We have been doing a pose-a-week challenge each week for the past couple of months, and this week is bridge pose. So, the aim of the game is to do bridge pose every day from now until next Sunday. Then, on Monday, we will start over with a new pose.
This week just finishing, we did child's pose and @soul is giving away free shirts to anyone who did it at least five times...at least that was the plan, but it sounds like newcomers like you and @frog might get one too. Maybe we need a special "welcome to yoga group" shirt @soul???
@soul, I want to lay claim to the tee-shirt that says "never too old for child's pose." I super like that.
Ok, now I seriously need to jump off the forums and go and be constructive for a few hours. Again, I am super pleased you are joining us @Former-Member.

Re: The great yoga adventure
@soul - I did child's pose in class last week and throughout the week on my way into bed, with the kids watching a movie, randomly while rolling around on the floor with my cats etc. I didn't check in that I had but now I see there was a unicorn yoga shirt up for grabs I kind of wish I had! Does it still count? 🦄
