Tell Us About Your Avatar

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

No @Queenie not at all. Its hard to keep up with no notifications. We were all having trouble keeping up in the dark.

Thanks @soul. Thought this avatar was most suitable out of the 2 that i had made but this one won. Think it says alot on its own without explaining everything

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

I absolutely loved that movie @NatalieS. It was certainly one of a kind - just like you???

Believing that things will get better = hope. And that is a good thing to have.

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

Thanks @soul, I loved the movie and the little piggy's positivity each day.  I remember when the movie came out the bottom fell out of the pork market....the little piggy was so gorgeous with a heart of gold and continued to believe there were solutions to any disaster.....even though noone had ever heard about a sheep herding pig.

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

What a great idea @soul

You actually encouraged/ inspired me to change to my current avatar during a time when everything around me seemed to be falling to pieces. (At the time I had a pic representing a somewhat pessimistic outlook on life).

Thankful, Grateful, Blessed-

I found this pic and it serves as a reminder to me to be grateful for all that is good in the life of my family. And there is much to be grateful for, it is just sometimes hard to recognise and too easy to focus and dwell on the negatives, hence the reminder to self. Thank you for your encouragement.

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

My original pic.

I think the pic explains itself better than I can.

Won't mention the in-between pic lol...

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

Yep @Determined - I remember your other pic.

This one not only encourages yourself but is a timely reminder to others as well. I reckon these avatars are a lot like affirmations.

So right that we can be bogged down in all that is going wrong and can't see the positive things in front of us. Hope things are as bright as can be with you and the family at the moment.

I chose the Taj Mahal because I've always wanted to see it. One day I hope to!

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

My picture is of a grey long haired cat I had for a while. Really pretty cat but had "issues" that hadn't been told to us when we got her from the shelter. Some cats really can't be homed with other cats and she just didn't get along with my other two cats even they told us at the shelter she would be OK. Persevered as long as we could but eventually took her back to the shelter after a year which I felt really bad about as I couldn't get anyone to take her but hopefully they got her a home where she could be an only cat.

@soul

My original pic was also closely linked with my choice in username and how I was feeling when I first arrived here -   Determined not to give up.

My latest pic - thankful, grateful, blessed -  is a way of maintaining that determination by reminding me to
'focuss on the positives'
