Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Thanks for asking @soul, feels like ya got my back. I'm sort of OK, yes miss my shadow, cuddles, being touched, noticed. Not looking fwd to my first coming home without a happy greeting. I gathered up his blankets & bed to throw away today, sad, yet a part of me actually wants to be free of it all.

Its nice that I can still feed the possum and wild birds at least. But a bird might be grounding maybe, don't know, what if it dies too.

Feels like my life here is finished and its time to leave. I've started packing stuff away for charity already, 3 boxes today. this place was really for the kids and pets, its gonna be a slow process having to rest in between, but have a clarity about it now, well, the doing is still hard.

Think maybe the warmer days is helping, like spring is actually in the air.

Still got palpitations, so thats my que that theres high internal stress so need to to take it easy.
.
Are you ok tonight?

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

I do have your back @Former-Memberand I have to say that I shed a few tears about your situation. Knowing how much I love my dog, for you to have been with Claypan for such a long time, it must be extremely sad and of course the connection to your daughter makes it all the more heartbreaking.

I just love the way my dog goes ballistic when my son comes to visit and when I was living overseas and would come back every three months or so, the pooch would go crazy. I have a video of one such greeting.

Do you have lots of photos and/or video of Claypan?

Don't make any major decisions just yet. You are going through a difficult time. Wait until you are feeling better. And yes, spring is just around the corner. We have 30 degree plus temps coming up soon, then probably one more cold snap and then winter will be gone.

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Hi @Former-Member Ive been thinking about you a lot hoping you are ok. It's such a tough time for you. Before my present girl, I had a jack Russell for 17 yrs, she passed the same way, heart and old. It's a tough situation when they are your constant companion. I hope you have a warm spring day to get out into the garden and see the birds etc. whatever you decide to do, will be thinking of you, sending warm wishes your way. Take care.
