Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Hi @Kurra, nice to see you! Sounds like you do have some serious things weighing heavy on your heart lately. The 'old man' p'd off again, sick dog, the sad anniversary of the twins šŸ˜ž Yep, you'd be feeling it at the moment. HugzšŸŒ·šŸŒ·
I Know you do understand the back pain, with AS and all, its hard to function normally let alone packing up house - not good (can't believe I actually paid money for most this stuff, and brang it home myself šŸ˜ž

Yep, Downsizing & moving sucks, evwn without all the other life stressors ganging up on you. Internal external, past and present šŸ˜ž You Be gentle on you through this tough time.

Isn't it lovely your grown kids actually want you to live close, wow! hang onto that one. Maybe take regular holidays to the places you'd prefer šŸ’œšŸ’•

Hugz-n-hugs Kurra. Lots of self care for you !!! šŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’•

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Hiya there @Faith-and-Hope, worried about you, Hugzz šŸ’œšŸ’•

@Appleblossom, sorry you're feeling fragile atm "delicato" but glad you have good plans in place.
Yes, I plan to downsize, squeeze into a 2BR somehow, maybe a caravan & storage unit lol .
You Hang in there sista. šŸ’œšŸ’•

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Well, know how ya feel being fobbed off @Adge Just got back from local gp (too crook to drive into city) but all he could hear is 'aches pains, sinus pressure & chills' and he's already decided its the flu / viraemia, "but not Influenza A or any of those" he said šŸ˜• wow, isn't he clever! Credit he did listen to my chest (through jumper) and declared "all clear - rest (not sleep), oranges, fluids & asthma puffers for prevention as its gonna get worse..." Hmm, knew I should have stayed home.

Treating myself to tea & fresh hot scon jam cream at coffee shop. Bit crowded (noisy) but as you say @Faith-and-Hope, gives a sense of community. They know my face and I'm too tired to care what the few gossips think. Think the tea tastes better here - someone else making it I guess. I need to clean my rain water tank, or not. Gosh, some yummy smells coming out of the kitchen. Heading off to op shop (dropping things off this time). My hippi me wants me to retrieve a purple skirt though. šŸŒ¹šŸ’œšŸ¦

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Ha - I know what you mean @Former-Member. Some doctors are no better than Google. I rarely go if I can help it. Try to keep myself healthy. Not a big fan of pain. You tend not to really appreciate your health until you feel crook. Not afraid of dying (it's all part of the life cycle) but I would really hate a long drawn out process.

Make sure you don't end up buying more stuff to replace the things you gave away. Maybe get a filter jug for your water if the tank is a bit iffy.

It is nice when someone prepares a drink or meal for you. Told my daughter that I would be at a late yoga class and that she might prepare dinner so we could eat together when I got home. She was having a rare Friday night in. Turns out she has an assignment due today that isn't completed yet. So she can't "waste" time cooking. Cool, calm me said - "Okay, but dinner will be quite late then."

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Thanks @soul, I have a problem - shopaholic. Won't tell u what I bought home šŸ˜ž certainly less, but.cranky with myself, why cant i just walk away?/No money left now for a week so that's it.

Glad you stay healthy - you deserve the rewards šŸ™‚

Whats for tea tonight - I'm gonna have my magic vegie soup

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

you are a busy girl @Former-Member

I have been focussing heavily on another thread and missed so much

I cannot deal with too many at a time

I absolutely abhor packing and moving....sorry no nice soft words or comfy feelings about it here

we have an open inspection on sunday........detest them

cats detest things being moved....put away....us going out....strangers ...strange men coming to the house...

I am in the start of putting stuff away for op shop....only the start mind you...can't bring myself to put some things in .....I might wear that again....might come back in to fashion...cost heaps...quality    blah blah

we have to have everything put away ....cupboards overflowing....storage shed that we pay for is overflowing.....

you are doing a wonderful job @Former-Member far better than I

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Thanks @Former-Member, not getting far in a hurry here really, its hard, why do we do it? Have you seen my SPRING-clean declutter thread? All the best with your inspection Sunday šŸ’œšŸ’•

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Calling all SAD sufferers, have you felt it comimg on yet? Think i do. Think @Owlunar does.

I resurrected this thread cause i need somewhere to talk about my darker side. I'm working hard @ holding it in ad i'm in a 'carer's' role noe with numetous critical onlookers / toxic family. I need support
