Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Thanks guys, wow, my mum just sent a lovely tx re dog, bro must have told her. She wants a hard copy photo. Surprised she's still up.

Just had some tinned soup, only snacked all day so this was better.

Pretty washed out, probably crash soon, maybe dream of days gone by.

Soooooo tired, too scared to fall asleep, keep waking myself up before hitting pillow, so to speak, crazy

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Morning, I'm still here. Thanks @soul and @Maggie, came looking and its so nice to find you here talking already, first thing. Loneliness hits hardest just before and after sleep, mostly mornings for me.

And thanks to everyone supporting me yesterday 😘 that was amazing ☺

I eventually slept a few hours, and proud to say without heavy substances. Still got these palpitations so debating if to have that checked out today. Missing my shadow though (pup), on the other hand, come to think of it, I have trouble looking after myself properly... so... well, you know what I'm saying. But its a strange feeling not having anyone else to consider in my plans - don't know if that's freedom, or dangerous for me, no bonds.

While this 🐕loss leaves me without anyone near to care for, or talk to (yes i talked to my dog), it at least was somewhat expected, or in the order of things, he was old 😢

Trying to resist those thoughts that whisper to give up now, just stay in bed, slip away (at least they're not urges and there's no energy for anxiety to give them), but always in the back of my mind, i have one last job, i tell myself not to leave this mess (hording clutter) to my son to deal with. What a horrible parting gift, he always hated my sanguine ways, do i really must clean out, find energy for that (yeah right, maybe next week lol).

Winter is so draining 🍃🌁

But love my morning cup, might go grab another 💜🌿

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Thanks for letting us know that you're okay @Former-Member - well as okay as can be expected after such a loss. It must be very difficult waking up without your furry companion.

Dogs are a great way to regulate us - taking them for walks, preparing their food, tending to their medical needs - it makes us consider our own situation as well. Not to mention their brilliant company. I talk more to my dog than humans. She responds in her own way.

Hope you can find something to help fill that gap in your own time. Even though he was old, it still is a huge loss.

Come for a walk.

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Hi @Faith-and-Hope - any more discussion about those relocation plans?

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

No more at-home discussion yet @soul. I have chatted a bit on HCA thread about coming to terms with it more this morning.
