Re: Red's house
@The-red-centaur oh I bet! Information overload is all too real I'm sure 😅 How long till first assignments are due?
Oh that is just a phenomenal mental image. In my mind the thing you're colouring in is also like, flowers and sunshine kinda themed, just to really lean into the juxtaposition!! Good on you for prioritising rest this evening 😊💜

Re: Red's house
Oh it's gorgeous @The-red-centaur!! And so much better than my silly lil mental image hahaha. I love how you've balanced the colours!! It reminds me of coral 😍
The dot-work looks like an indigenous style, is that correct? And little kangaroo prints too if I'm not mistaken! Incredible 💜

Re: Red's house
Lol @Jynx this book is a first nation's book.
I just bought a bunch of new ones from kmart today. You used to be able to only get these at the museum, im happy they are getting more accessible. This is the second time I'm going to fill the books lol.

Re: Red's house
Oh I love it @The-red-centaur and yeah for sure on the importance of accessibility, especially for the celebration of indigenous culture! I might have to grab one for my mum, she's a huge fan of indigenous art, she even used to run an art class for the local Aboriginal Medical Centre where she worked, and she'd often look to the local indigenous artist for inspiration for her silk painting (turns out the two styles actually work well together, if I can find an example I will have to share it). Thanks for the pic! Visual reminders always helpful 😊
I'm about to skedaddle, but feel free to tag me if you wanna share any more art, or any more chats!! Otherwise may the screams, kick drums, and that delicious thrum of the heavy metal bass carry you into a restful night! 💜
