Re: Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script

Me too BlueBay 🤗

Re: Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script

And I want to be a paediatric nurse! There you go. Does my 'theory' have enough credible evidence? Lol.

@Former-Member @BlueBay

I also firmly believe that you need to love your job if you want to be a good teacher/nurse. Some people do it for the money, but you just don't get the same enjoyment.

@BlueBay , it's never too late. Vic is DESPERATE for teachers. Many schools cannot even find casual teachers to cover their classes. All they need is a living, breathing, registered teacher... it's a sad state of affairs.

Woohoo! I'm glad we can share these commonalities! @Former-Member @BlueBay @Shaz51 @Oaktree

Re: Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script

Hello @BPDSurvivor  i just want to say how much I have enjoyed interacting with you.

I will have my account deleted tomorrow and didn't want to leave and not let you know that not only do I think that you are a great advocate for BPD but, you are also such a beautiful and very caring person. Thank you for being you 💞

Always-hope....Jackie 🌺

Re: Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script

Dear @Former-Member ,

I appreciate your care and sincere gratitude. You have been, and continue to be, an invaluable contributor on the forums. Are you okay?

I am not quite sure of the context surrounding the deleting of your account. I acknowledge things have been tough for you, but as I said, I'm not sure if this is a contributor to your decision, and therefore do not want to make assumptions. Please forgive me if I have.

You have probably thought it out long and hard. However, I want you to know that whatever your reason, we are here for you. Would you consider taking some 'rest' from the forums (turn off notifications), so that you can pop in and say 'hello' when you feel able? I know I, myself, would like to know how you are going. No pressure. Just consider it.

The journey is long and and often tough, yet it can be highly rewarding. Connection, belonging, acceptance, engagement is something that will carry all of us a long way. We learn from each fall we make - no one is perfect.

My dear sister, would you consider this a little more? Ultimately, the choice is yours.

I'm here for you - always.

I'm keen to hear your thoughts.

Waiting patiently,

BPDSurvivor

Re: Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script

Oh now you have made me cry....Lol Thank you, that was nice to hearHeart

I realised I don't have the privacy I really need to be fully open. I had found out that there is a place on the top of the screen that looks like a book. I clicked on to this and  It shows the history of both of our activities even though we have seperate iPads....mine is extremely old and for me to do a 'support' I have to use my husbands but we share the same data! Hubby knows my user name on here. Now no privacy! Need to find a GP now too!

I will still come on to sane but only from the outside looking in on you all Take care @BPDSurvivor

Re: Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script

Totally understandable @Former-Member but it be a shame to miss your valuable contributions.

Just to be the devil's advocate, have you ever considered open communication with your husband whereby boundaries are set? Healthy boundaries for both to be respected including privacy?

It is not my place to tell you what to do as I don't know your particular circumstances. I'm just brainstorming ways around things, particularly if you find the SANE forums valuable for your own MH and recovery.

As you probably know, reading as an onlooker is very different to participating.

I hope one day both of you will be able to find ways to get the most out of such services.

Im here if you ever need a chat and your circumstances enable you to do so.

Whatever it is, stay connected (whether SANE or anyone/any service). Connection is what keeps us going. And yes, you are right there's ALWAYS HOPE.

Ill be waiting for you from this side.

Look after yourself and do what works for YOU.

Re: Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script

I am one of those rare cases that has been diagnosed with both SZA and BDP, the stigma is something I've dealt with from doctors and nurses over the years, and not just the public.

Re: Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script

Dear @Former-Member ,

Thank you for sharing. I have heard specialists speak about SZA+BPD and it sure sounds challenging.

I myself don't know enough about SZA to speak to it. I wouldn't mind if you share some of your experiences. Perhaps that's a start to reducing stigma? Of course this is totally up to you - no pressure.

Whatever it is, I think it's important to focus on your strengths and work with some of your challenges so that you can successfully function in society.

Any thoughts?
