I currently receive the support of a community mental health care support nurse which was put in place following my last hospital admission. My diagnosis is Major Depressive Disorder MDD, General Anxiety Disorder and alcohol dependence.
I'm pleased to say that the alcohol dependence following awful withdrawal is currently under control, I stress CURRENTLY.
My other symptoms persist and are somewhat managed by medication and therapy. However I have recently been experiencing and exhibiting some manic thoughts and behaviour.
I am struggling with taking care of my mental and physical health post surgery. EEEK..
I guess that just about sums me up for now.
The at home community support I receive is fantastic 🙌.
I'm super lucky that we "click"
If anyone has the opportunity of accessing this kind of support I highly recommend it.
Sending thoughts of hope and strength to all.
Taali 💙

@hopeful_hannah @Taali @Shaz51 @Keshie hello and I hope your Monday is treating you well.
Thank you Hannah for tagging me, that means so much 😍
Being alone is difficult, I often suffer from loneliness as my friend circle has diminished over the past 5 or so years. It's hard to catch up with friends who have families and are working when you have no spouse or kids and are not working.
I am currently studying online and aside from my bestie who I have known for 50+ years (I met her when we were 5!) I don't have a wide social circle.
I have my cat, Mal, who is a ginger Ragdoll and the Ruler of His Domain, aka my house. He does have an adopted older sister, Gypsy who is part ragdoll and part moggie. She is nearly 18 and refuses to drink water from anywhere but the bath tub tap.
My brother lives with me and he works part time and when he's home he's usually stashed away in front of his computer. We get on well but we don't exactly have meals together or sit and chat like a friend would.
I hope you find some connection here and feel free to reach out if you want to chat xoxo

Hi. @ENKELI,@Shaz51,@hopeful_hannah @hopeful_hannah @Keshie,
I completely understand how easy it is to lose friendships. I've been beating myself up pretty severely about the how and why of my self imposed isolation. Trying to tell myself that I actually CAN reach out a reconnect. It's definitely not easy as I fear questions and the possibility of rejec
BUT we both need to try by taking little steps and forgiving ourselves for being the victims of incapacitating illness. I'm with you in spirit and wish you all the best. You don't need or deserve to suffer alone.
Please take care.
Taali.
