@Shaz51 the more supporting reports e.g. psychologist, occupational therapist, that sort of thing that you can put with it the less likely they are to ask for further supporting evidence. They are really focussed on the functional effects of your diagnosis, not just the diagnosis itself. The access request form you will do with your doctor addresses the different categories of function they are looking for. It's good if your other reports also focus on functional effects. As @TideisTurning has said, it's helpful if you focus on what your worst days are like so you can get funding for the supports you really need at those times. This can be a bit of a challenge to do as it isn't focussed on what you CAN do, but it's really important in your application.

Hi @Shaz51 , just replying because you tagged me. And hello to others here, it's been a while since I've been on here.
Good luck with the NDIS application, I hope you get it.
I did apply but they told me they wouldn't fund anything I was looking for which my psychiatrist also requested in the paperwork, so I withdrew my claim. But I guess everyone's circumstances are different & this was a few months ago for me.
But I hope you get yours, best of luck. Take care everyone.

Hey @Shaz51 another thing to be aware of is that you have to prove you've exhausted all available medical mainstream avenues. e.g. need more than medicare will rebate or recognize, or have used a service the maximum no. of times you can e.g. psychology. They are really particular about this.
