Oh no @Dimity ! Are you OK?

Well done to do the half and hour shredding after that! 😮 Well done also to clear some books off the coffee table.

I usually post later in the day. I'm not a morning person but would love to reset my body clock.

I think it's always best to go with your body clock...are you a night owl? Most people I know seem to be.

I didn't do my 15 minutes on the bench yesterday...I'm cross at myself as I was creating a habit. Just a few days, but now I have to start again. The bench will take quite a few 15 minute goes to be finished. My friend isn't coming this Friday but will  be coming next Friday, so I need to have the bench and the floor clear by then.

Good luck today when your helper comes...I agree, having transport is useful.

just checking in to see how you are today

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hello @NatureLover

I seem to have come good after the health scare thanks, but the doctors are being very cautious and following up anyway. Lights and sirens were interesting but dramatic.

Don't be too hard on yourself re the bench top. I'm constantly getting sidetracked or missing days and having to start again. It's a little like what's said of meditation - being able to return to your intentions is what's important,  not the capacity to be perfect because who is?

Today was fairly productive. I picked up 7 boxes and dealt with 2, meaning I now have another boxful to donate. And I put out the bins, meaning a fresh start tomorrow.

Tomorrow? Working through folders, filing and shredding. I'll hope to clock an hour.

Yes, I'm a night owl. But I'm conscious of lovely morning light going to waste.

Thank you dear @Eve7 , and for the somersaulting little people who make me giggle ❤️

I'm doing OK at the moment. Got my psychologist today which is good....I only see her once a month so I cram a lot in. I write down my thoughts and issues over the month and then present her with a few pages to read each time. She lets me set the agenda as to what's bothering me most. I'm very lucky to have her.

I will check on your thread shortly... 💛

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Oh gosh @Dimity , you had to call an ambulance? 😞 I'm glad your doctors are following up as it sounds scary...

Thanks for this encouragement. I didn't do anything yesterday as it was a work day (my volunteer job) which is always exhausting. I work Mondays and Thursdays. So that leaves me 15 minutes x 5 days a week...I should be able to clear the bench and what's piled up on the floor over the next week.  Got my monthly psychologist appt today first, though...hope to do my 15 minutes this afternoon.

You did have a productive day! Do you have space in your house for the stuff you're keeping?

Good luck today 🙂

I'm really enjoying our conversations, thank you.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

@NatureLover I hope your psychologist appt went well. It was my psychologist who called the ambulance. I couldn't speak and she thought I'd had a stroke. But I came good and I was cleared.

I did 1/2 hour. Not a lot. But I gave myself a break today with a nice meal and I ordered spring bulbs to pot up.

No I haven't really got room for everything,  that's the point. And of course the stuff I've got off-site was once crammed in here too. There wasn't much room to move. I invested a lot of time in sorting and categorising stuff at one stage, and that's probably helping now. But a lot of the box labels have faded.

I'll aim to do another half hour tomorrow and be very pleased if I can double that.

I'm glad you were cleared of possibly having a stroke, @Dimity !

Well done on doing 1/2 an hour. That's more than I'm achieving.

It sounds like you've got a tiny house like me?

I didn't end up doing my 15 minutes yesterday as I had a big upset during my psychologist appt. Not my psychologist's fault - she's an excellent psychologist. I had to come straight home and go to bed. It used to be that a big upset like that would take me 3 days in bed to get over...but at least I'm up and doing my normal routine this morning, although still fragile. I hope to attempt my 15 minutes though.

Good luck with your half hour today...

I'm sorry you had such a tough day yesterday @NatureLover . Well done for facing the day today, that shows resilience.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi @Dimity @NatureLover @Bow @Eve7 @tyme

I have hoarding tendencies and problems.

My parents gave me lots of storage as a kid and a big room but I never saw the,m a d when I didtyey were emotionally violent and cruel.

As an adult I realise I don't have storage space and then my stuff is everywhere.

Just realised eg I have jewellery all over the house,

Why don't I buy a jewellery box ?? It's taken a few mon

hs of declutterong to see ways I Pu ish myself and continue hoarding and having piles on the floor.
