Yeah @Bunniekins .... we have got some “interesting” stories too ..... lol .... can sorta laugh about them now, but not at the time.

@Faith-and-Hope I can see why going to church is a huge comfort to you Faith-and-Hope. I envy you (in a good way) that sense of spirituality that you have I wish I had it. I have tried but not being brought up in it has made it impossible for me to acquire it even though I have tried.

@Faith-and-Hope and @Appleblossom (Hi Appleblossom :)) here is an interesting story for you. Once I was manic and went for a walk into the bush I got lost and it got dark. I was totally disorientated so I went crashing down a hillside and ended up at this road it started raining and I finally walked for what seemed ages to my car and home ., When I got home I wanted a shower but my daughter was in the bath refusing to get out and when I looked down at my legs they were totally covered in leeches and blood .... fun and games of being manic lol.

Sounds like that is one you can laugh about now, but was scary at the time @Bunniekins .....

Have you heard of “faith in action” @Bunniekins ?  Whether you’re sitting in church or you are sitting holding someone’s hand when they are struggling, it is all one and the same .... faith and hope are places in the heart .....

I have a story like that, but I call it being normal.  Went climbing with my brother, had fun watched hang gliders etc and came down the mountain.  I was allowed to go without kids so it was just the 2 of us.

When I got home into the bath, hubbie said I had a dozen big black bruises on each leg.

Leeches are yuk ... its that dissociative thingy ... or as Breaking Bad made famous . .. a fugue state.

I thought fugues were great since I was a kid ... Love Mr JS BACH.

Tell me what is normal Pleez!

Stubbed toes are really ouchie - I have done that so often - could walking around in the dark with bare feet be the cause

I know ice can be unpleasant and I also know you will do whatever helps most - I can leave that there

Okay - my turn - when I was getting out of the taxi yesterday I tripped on a  crack in the gutter- that was and ouchouchouch event too - the taxi driver wanted to know if I was alright - I had to think about that and do some grounding things while leaning on a fence - I am alright

But I commisserate - I think a broken toe beats tripping getting of a taxi

There are Bible verses that say these things @Bunniekins, which is what you learn by going to church, but one of them is “faith without works is de-ad” ..... meaning that to make faith come, and stay, alive is to care for others .... do your bit to make the world a better place, when and as you can ..... so sitting in a church pew, but not caring to help someone pick up parcels they have dropped, or giving someone directions who asks you, that sort of thing, makes the pew-sitting pointless.

Does that make sense ?

I think “normal” is a spectrum @Appleblossom ...... and it can change .... it does change .... cos what used to be considered normal is in a different place today, that’s for sure.

@Faith-and-Hope yes as my mother would always say when she has done something nice for someone that she has done her good deed for today :). I prefer to do it more than once myself .... one of the things I like about this board is being able to make people happier 🙂
