Hi @utopia
Your expectations of your son are reasonable - but - oh darn it - there is always a but in the sentence somewhere
I guess we can hope that our kids will do what is required of them - what is actually their part of the deal - school work - but we can't expect it
Um - why not? To answer my own question - if we expect something we will have our expectations dashed - if we hope we can hope for ever and it will be okay - just hoping - that's not a bad thing
But kids will waste time - which is harder work than anything - while you work your butt off to maintain his lifestyle - oh wow
Yes - how wonderful it would be to have someone care for us - that was part of our deal with the kids' dad - who's kids they were and whoever their dad was - my ex-h was chronically lazy and he is still the same way from what I heard
We can only care for ourselves Utopia - and if that is sending him to your Mum for a while works for you - maybe not him - you are giving yourself a break
I care Utopia - and I understand
