Good morning and thanks for your responses @Zoe7 @MDT @Blep @greenpea @Dadcaringalone @Bimby2 and hi to you too @Adge and anyone else passing by here today. Always love the cartoons and memes you share.
@Blep I hardly ever go into shops still - my bro goes in or else I get delivery. What my sil did was write on her mask "not infectious just cautious" and she found that changed people's apparent responses. Frankly you shouldn't need to in these times, but some people are just d1cks!
@greenpea I got medical support letters saying I need to be in a low density and quiet location and also was able to ask for an over 55s situation. Would love to hear how things are going for you. It's been ages since we caught up.
@Dadcaringalone Hearing you and agreeing about focussing on the little things - in some ways, but also having to let conflict slide sometimes with the people who are in our 'bubble'. It's been 4 months here with the same other 3 people - bound to be challenging at times being in each other's pockets so much.
The writing groups were excellent. Quite different from each other - one is kinda serious (12 people, with the writers centre) and the other is more laid back (only 5 last night and all ppl who identify as having a disability), and the convenors very different - the serious group she makes sure everyone gets a chance to share with equal time, whereas the laid back one the woman really does most of the sharing herself and is driving a collaborative project with another group down south - but she's pretty funny so she gets away with it. Tricky with them both on the same night but it went ok. I was only 15 minutes late for the 2nd one and got to hear the guest reading a few poems by what he called 'confessional poets' - writers who have depression or other mental health challenges who write about their experiences ... the name seems to suit a lot of my stuff too so it gave me plenty to think about.
I have the womens group of the disability alliance this morning, also via zoom. Being able to see people in real time is very good for my mental health at the moment. Helps to not feel so isolated.
Also planning to cook for the clan tonight and then have another zoom with the mental health group from the disability alliance.
What felt like an empty couple of days has turned out to be quite busy.
Looking forward to hearing more about what's going on for you folk too. And having time to get around the forums more.
Take care and stay kind everyone xoxo

@greenpea How's things? Long time no speak. It's been a pretty crazy time for us. Much better for my son than myself. My daughter is going really well! Still living with her boyfriend and she just found out she got her contract extended which I'm happy for her in terms of her financial independence and also that means I don't need to financially support her until the end of the year. Love to hear from you when you are free

@eth Hey eth it is good that you will be housed in that kind of situation. Should work really well for you :). It is very exciting. I have been having problems with headaches and amnesia. Got hospitalised a week ago and am in the process of having tests done. Nothing concrete atm just waiting really. Just all very strange. Other than that everything has been going along fine. Have decided to put my studies on hold though until next semester to find out what is going on and to look at tremor in hand/arm as is getting worse. If it is not one thing it is another aye. pea

Hi and good evening @Former-Member @Zoe7 @Hamsolo01 @Blep @greenpea @Dadcaringalone @Bimby2 @Adge @outlander @Maggie @TAB @WriterMelb @Judi9877 @NatureLover @Appleblossom and anyone else passing by. Hope you're being gentle with yourselves and finding some small ways to self-care in difficult times.
@greenpea that's a worry about the headaches and tremors. I hope you are able to find solutions and relief soon. I had full on tremors for about 3 years but when I came here and started with a new psychiatrist she immediately took me off one long-term med, replaced it with another, and I've rarely had the tremors since that time. Such a blessed relief as it got to the point where I couldn't even enter my pin on an eftpos terminal. Wishing the same for you. Take care my friend.
The writing groups were really good. Positive feedback about poems I shared, and between the 2 groups altogether about a dozen new faces to connect with. Need to do some follow-up turning hand written pieces into computer files and sharing them - might get onto that tomorrow.
Support worker cancelled again today. Her 3rd cold in a few months. And 3rd time getting tested for covid 19. Luckily all clear again, but best she doesn't come near me with her symptoms. Really hoping tomorrow morning's support doesn't cancel (that would be 3 out of 3 this week) as I have to go to the podiatrist. Will be my 2nd face to face health appointment in 4 months. For me telehealth with my GP, psychologist and psychiatrist has worked well. One just rings me and the other 2 do facetime.
Should be at the The Weekly Friday Feast tonight if anyone wants to catch me.
Take care all xoxo

@outlander I really hope whatever it was today went smoothly and you recover swiftly. I take it you're still feeling the anaesthetic. Drink plenty of water. May see you later if you're feeling better. xoxo

@eth Your writing groups sound really good.
At last some headway with housing. I think you said there are long waiting lists, if my memory is correct. So it could be a while before you hear anything.
I hope your meal tonight goes well, though you are a good cook, so no worries. It would be , if I was in the kitchen. 🥴🥴
Take care. Always good to hear how you are going. 💕💕
