Too right @Bill16 Re tats - I've never understood why people get them on areas they can't see themselves, only other people can see. Mine are definitely for me to see. Represent deeply held beliefs. There's a guy at the pool I go to has one on his back that says "please resuscitate if found face down"!

@Bill16 do you want to talk about your diagnosis? I have bipolar 1 and complex PTSD - didn't know about the bp1 until I was 46, involuntarily scheduled coz I was manic and in psychosis, but also in a total flight state from the incident I mentioned. And got my tats within a couple of months after I got out of hospital. Almost like I needed a reminder of who I was before.

Hi @eth I have a Dragon Tattoo on one arm, & an Angel Tattoo on the other arm.
I also have some piercings.
I got them in my mid-40's - I would not have been game, earlier.

Hi @Bill16 sorry I disappeared for a while - I always have to seize the moment when I get an invite to join bro and sil. Had a coffee with them and sorted out diaries re times away etc. They head off in an hour or so, so it had to be done.
Thankyou for sharing your diagnosis - I imagine that when ps flares up it's a bit like the psychosis I've had several times. Paranoia and false ideas about what's reality have been part of it for me.
Hey @Adge your tats sound like good ones. Funny how we both waited til our 40s - maybe similar to what they call 'mid life crisis' - a need to feel more authentic to ourselves and do the things we've always wanted to do. PS I don't think it really is a 'crisis' as such, more of an emergence.

Hi @Angels333 and @saturnzoon and anyone else this might be helpful for - just found out about phone apps called 'Calm Harm' and 'Clear Fear' . They look very useful to me to help at needed times.
