Re: A long rave

@eth  and @Former-Member  I also think it is a personality thing whether you get along with someone in a profession. If someone has a different understanding or ethics to you then often they are not a good fit for you, but may be perfect for someone else. It also helps if they are intuitive to what you do not say or do as much as what you do. That's just my take on it

Fear of rejection can go deep and when good things happen we might freeze up a lot. I am fine at first but when I think the person actually likes me I panic.

With time and goodwill I hope things work out.

@Former-Member Hearing you about many things.  I was a little sceptical of yoga teachers went to only a few, but had a gym membership from the age of 42-50.  It did save my life.  Yes I had an exercise physiologist who made the difference for me too. I saw him every 6 weeks for a year and that put my whole approach to exercise in perspective.  He left and I went to a cheaper gym, but found I could read between the lines and work with my own body even if I saw only a cert 4 rehab person.  Great gratitude for him and I used to see his mum at the supermarket and tell her.  My osteo recently said she never thought I would improve as much as I have. It was time at my exercises on the floor on various machines or out walking. Coincidentally there is a doctor at that clinic who was also a parent of one of my students.  She had the decency to tell me my pain was obvious, back 15 years ago, in a kind way, even though I was trying to cover it up and keep working.  At first I stayed away from gyms cos I thought they were a bit superficial, but with good understanding of the body came some relief as my effort was going in the right direction.  I also hear how frustrating it is to deal with bodily complaints from people who do not put in the time.  I have been too caring too and am trying to be less taken for granted and more assertive.

Glad the piano is feeing you.
