I love hearing the first birds waking up. It's too cold for the doors open this morning, so I'll probably miss the subtle sound of the first ones waking up. I'll probably notice when a currawong starts up though. Loud and gorgeous song from them. @greenpea

@Mazarita I started smoking in my teens and gave up in my 20s only because of the expense and cheest pains I was getting at the time. The whily gig sucks up the hot air in the roof to keep the place cool in the summer but OMG in the winter I think it makes it extra cold. Just imagine you are sitting down to dinner and then what sounds like a herd of buffalos comes thundering across the ceiling for what seems like minutes as a breeze passes that is what it is like 😄

Ah, that's what those things are for, @greenpea. What a noise to have to live with though! Hate to think what it would be like on a very windy day!

@Mazarita currawongs would have to be up there with my favourite birds. I love their song. Son1's gf when they first visited was amazed at all the bird life. There is nothing like that in Germany.

We are lucky with such rich and unique wildlife, @greenpea.
I wonder what sort of birdlife there is in Germany.
I think I may go back to bed now. Will you be okay without company until daylight comes for your walk?

Good morning, @eth, @Exoplanet, @greenpea, @outlander and everyone here today, hoping for a good day for all.
Just woke up from lots of sleep overnight after sleeping most of yesterday. This is the price I pay for the all-nighters I do.
Also day two of my new anti-psychotic med. Feel extra tired with a couple of other side effects that are a bit too icky to mention at this time of the day. Hopefully these will ease as my body gets used to the med.
Wondering how everyone is feeling this morning.

Good morning all here @Appleblossom @Mazarita @greenpea @outlander @PeppiPatty @Shaz51 and anyone else around this morning.
Once again several pages of chat overnight - love to see this but often don't catch up on it all. It's great that we can keep each other company at all hours.
To answer your question from yesterday @Appleblossom I planted perpetual spinach, silverbeet (red stemmed) and basil.
And that's about all I did all day. Another afternoon of napping on and off and watching Master Chef catch-up in between.
Hope today is starting well for you all.
