Re: A long rave
Northern Ireland....South Western England..as well as Yorkshire..Canada...apparently some jewish ancestry which was hidden and myself and my new found cousin in England discovered when I was over there....hmm ruffled a few feathers...I think that it is fabulous to have such a mixed background....

Re: A long rave
I hope everyone had a really GOOF day 😊
@Mazarita @Former-Member Shaz51 @Faith-and-Hope...English on mums side...Birmingham...not sure about dads side ..he left us when i was 1 and mum never liked to talk about him..never even saw a pic of him...makes it hard when doctors ask my family medical history...tried looking him up on ancestry but no luck
@Former-Member ...finding a good medical/therapy team is very challenging...lots of dufuses out there...im happy with the team i have now..both for physical and mental health but took me along time to find them all...and have had some shockers over the years
@Mazarita ...i can definately relate to the air traffic thing...i live at one of the beaches in Sydney and the planes go right overhead...it makes it hard to watch tv and even sleep...they start early in the morning and finish late at night...and at peak times they go over every 6 minutes....also as im at the beach i have helicopters constantly buzzing about...grrrr
Had a big day today...went to hospital eye clinic as i was having light flashes and seeing hundreds of little light dots...my eyes are fine and they said it could be nurological and that if it continues i will have to have a brain scan ...DOH !!!!!
They put drops in my eyes that dilated my pupils and left me with blurred vision for a few hours...have to say shopping at supermarket was interesting not being able to focus my eyes properly.... lol 😁
@Former-Member ..welcome ...i hope you find this forum helpfull...theres always someone around to chat with...everyone here is super nice and has great advice to offer

Re: A long rave
and a goof evening to you to be sure to be sure to be sure..the heat has got to me
yes on a more sensible note...I can understand exactly what you are saying...
I imagine also dependent on the type of symptoms of mental illness as well would affect the level of care..
I just want him to not give up...he has so much potential and such a loving soul...
lucky you living at one of the sydney beaches...there are some beautiful bays and coastline in that area..
eye issue...may be a number of things so wait until you get the actual diagnosis...
my husband had white flashes and spots and was told headacheless migraine?? I had never heard of it..
always needs to be checked though straight away..
changing the subject I looked up tuxedo cats and wow did not know that...so my missing son's cat is a tuxedo...she is beautiful ....tall ...perfect weight....shiny coat and beautiful personality....his dad looks after he or should I say spoils her to death...son wanted me to have her..
I had her here for 3 weeks and my 3 cats became neurotic...had to separate them and keep mine out of the main living area which was very unfair on them...
Birmingham.... my grandmother lived there for a while as well as my aunt and uncle and family...not born there though..
nice chatting

Re: A long rave
Hey @catgirl 🙂
Sounds like you did have a big day today! Glad to hear that your eyes are okay...hopefully the light flashes and dots start settling down, it's good that you were on top of getting them checked.
Shopping at the supermarket with blurred vision sounds like it would have been a bit of challenge! Have you been surprised by any items that you have taken home that you thought were one thing at the time but were another? Or, did you manage to find everything you needed? haha
Have you got any plans for yourself tonight after your busy day?

Re: A long rave
@catgirl Hi catgirl always love your posts ... gee sorry to hear about your vision. Could it be migraines? Is it happening all the time or only periodically? Keep us posted how that goes.
And ahhh yes I had a grea GOOF day thanks mum was in a good frame of mind which is pretty surprising because normally she is really grumpy ... she is a really grumpy old woman but I love her to bits. We had coffee at a cafe then went to the doctors only to be told there was a two plus hour waiting list!!!!! So cancelled the appointment and came home lol.
Have started scarf number 3 in the hope that this one does not turn into a thneed ... my mum had a good chuckle at how I knitted my second it is bizarre I will show you below. I dont know how I did it ...

Re: A long rave
@Former-Member ...lol ..did manage to get what i wanted exept my Bundaberg ginger beer which i am addicted to and helps with my nausea from meds...i picked up the diet variety ...blah...it was in with the regular and didnt catch it cause of the blurriness...i went on memory of where things were and apart from the ginger beer it worked...only bought a few tings though...would have been impossible to do a full shop ...no plans for tonight but will have to limit my phone and tv time cause of eyes...Boring night ahead 😊
@Bunniekins ...spots seem to get worse at night and when i use my phone so have to limit myself to the exposure of my phone screen...it only started on Sunday...but i have had the flashes before...when i told my old gp about it few years back he said it was probably my bipolar...has anyone heard of or experienced light flashes as a symptom of bipolar?...i think he was barking up the wrong tree...i did mention it today and they said they are not mental health experts so couldnt comment on it...glad u had a goof day with your mum...waiting for ur pics to come up...looking forward to seeing your artistic flair....you go girl 👍
