Essential Energy turned up half an hour ago. Just left. Says we should have hot (enough) water in about 2 hours. That means about 10.15pm. Bit late, so might wait until morning for a long hot shower. I hope.
The man was lovely. He had to fix the relay thingy, whatever that means. Also needed to replace one of the box things which had burned out.
He apologised he was so late, saying he had been on the go since 7.30am. And that was at 8.15pm. And I heard him on the phone getting called to another job tonight 45mins away.
He did say if we didnt have hot water by morning, to let them know. Fingers crossed.
Feeling relieved. $220 for HW repair man earlier, but no charge for getting power working again. Just the ability for the power provider to bill us as that little wheel continues to spin.

Yes ... we have hot water this morning ... steady hot and strong! Had my luxurious long shower ... what bliss! Then decided to make a ham, eggs and tomato breakfast for hubby and I. My furbaby got some egg and ham too.

I feel a bit better today ... not so defeated. And squeeky clean again 🤣 ha ha. Now I can set about doing some washing and the washing up which I have been leaving. Yeah I know I could have boiled the jug and washed up, but it all seemed like too much effort. Just the state of mind I've been in I guess.
Did I tell you I've started taking the toxic cancer treatment medication? I started last week. I promised the Drs and nurse that I would try them. I can always stop as the SW said. I'm not locked in. Its hard to swallow this little white pill each morning, but I'm persevering. Its been just over a week now.
Have a good day everyone.
Emelia

Ah, the feeling of having a hot shower, when not being able to for a few days - bliss @Emelia8
That's very brave of your taking the medication Em, I know how you feel about takings meds. Good thing you can stop at any time you like - but it sounds like so far, so good.
Try not to overdo it with the cleaning.
