Thanks @Zoe7 @outlander @Eve7 @Bow @greenpea @Anastasia @BlueBay @Former-Member @MDT @Schitzo
🤗💞
@Bow ... not sure about removing the tatts. I think they should be fairly easily removed using laser technology. But apparently they like to keep them in place to record what areas have been radiated. In case the cancer returns. Not very hopeful are they? Well done to your brother Bow ... thats great. Yes people with Aspergers usually have a special talent at something they have a particular interest in. I was happy my nephew persisted with getting his truck license though, because his confidence can be knocked flat very easily. However the license tester pushed him strongly to try again soon after his first attempt. So clearly they were happy he was able to do it. They really only knocked him back on a technicality. So now my nephew will be driving fire trucks for his local bush fire brigade. He has been an active volunteer fire fighter for several years. He really enjoys his mechanic job. Its a small country town and not too many people. Just the boss who is the mechanic, in a sole trader mechanic business. So he doesnt have to deal with too many people, so it suits him really well. Being aspergers he isnt great with people, not picking up on social cues etc. And yes you are right, the load is lightened somewhat by sharing our worries with a friend. Of which we both have many here on the forums. Its so good to hear you sounding more positive since your hospital stay.
Thanks @greenpea ... yes I know I need to take some time out for myself otherwise I am going to go under, both physically and mentally. I will definitely stay at the hospital accommodation for at least one week, maybe a couple of days on another week also. Depending on what I can organise. Thanks for your kind words and continued loving support.
Thanks @Former-Member for the link to carer support services. I will look into it, although I know I can access DVA for short term support. Though they do like to have a lot of notice. And they tend to shut down this time of year. I will work something out for hubby. Thanks so much for being so helpful with invaluable advice for me and everyone.
@Anastasia ... we are having lunch with neighbours today. They are long time friends of my husband, with him being one of his navy colleagues. It will be a traditional roast pork and all the trimmings, and also plum pudding with brandy sauce. We are supplying fresh prawns and oysters for befores, wine for during and cherries for snacks after. I'm sure it will be nice, although I really dont feel like doing much at all. I've actually lost quite a bit of weight over the past month or so, so a one-off overindulgence of xmas food will not do me any harm I suspect. I am so sorry that your boys are unable to visit their Dad. It seems an unneccessary precaution to prevent them from visiting, but I think people are scared about this latest outbreak of COVID. Perhaps its understandable? A happy birthday to your Mum for today. My little dog's birthday today too ... my little christmas dog. Enjoy lunch with your Mum. Oh wow ... a surprise christmas gift. How thoughtful. Now what could it be? Perhaps a scar tissue removing cream or a boob reinflater .... a laser tattoo remover? Hmmm ... no, maybe a weekend away at a health retreat, a chance to just relax and forget health issues for a while. Yep ... that'll do nicely. Thanks heaps ... I can dream.
Love you too Myboy. I wish I could make life easier and better for you with the flick of a switch.
Emelia 🍒😊

Hello dear Em,
I'm hoping today is a better day for you.
It's heartbreaking to hear that yesterday wasn't. I wish I had a magic wand to "fix" everything for you. You are such a beautiful soul and I wish only for good things to happen for you. I know that if ever we were to cross paths we would become friends immediately. Sending you extra squishy hugs in the hope it helps a little. Love you @Emelia8. Hugs for Holly too after her birthday celebrations yesterday 🤗🐕❣️

I feel so unsettled, anxious, fidgety, hyper, restless, edgy, tense and wound up like an overstretched spring. Everything seems so hopeless right now, and I cannot see a better future. Only worse, ever worse.
