Thanks all. Still in Sydney hospital. Planned air ambo trf to my regional hospital on Thurs, didnt happen obviously.
Gradually getting a few lines, tubes, leads, monitors and attachments removed. Urinary catheter gone as of yesterday. Finally the wound surgical drains in my back had slowed down enough to remove yesterday as well. Much less hardware to carry around just with those two items.
My IV fluids has been disconnected as of this morning. One less lead to become entangled.
Still on heavy duty pain meds, and anti nausea medication, neither of which is great.
Still eating next to nothing, but I feel I may be beginning to actually WANT to eat again, even if I CANT right now. I suppose after close to 2 weeks without food, it will take a while for tummy to adjust. Especially after the surgery where everything in the stomach cavity had to be removed or shoved aside to allow surgeons to access the front of my spine to do their thing.
But overall, I think I am making some progress, slow as it is.
Emelia 🌷

Thinking of you and sending lots of loving 🫂 hugs 🤗 for an incident free recovery.
Your poor tummy must be desperate for some wholesome food. I want to bring you a chicken soup and rice pudding. 💚💕💚

Thx for checking in.
I guess its best not to be transferred til they know you are stable.
So many contraptions; it is invasive and must feel very strange.
Slow progress is probably safe and sound progress.
