Dear @Emelia8 ,

i am thinking of you and following, I have tried to post several times, but fail, I can’t seem to complete anything and I am getting so sick of myself being such a drip.

i did Pilates some years ago, I really enjoyed it and it helped my back and joints a lot  if it wasn’t for you and the others here, @Anastasia @outlander @Sans911 @Eve7  @Shaz  and some others I would feel completely alone.

It has been hot here again in the west, I may bath my dogs today. And tidy them up a little.

Wishing you all peace. Love peri

Dear @Peri

Just getting back to you to respond to your post above from a few days ago.  Sorry for the delay.  Although I had acknowledged your post on the day, it was always my intention to get back to you more fully.

I'm really sorry you are having so much difficulty lately in completing things.  It does seem to be a symptom of depression, and is unfortunately pretty common.  Please do not put pressure on yourself to post to me however, I know you will post when you're able.  You say you are getting sick of yourself for being such a drip.  Please dont!  Instead ... please be a little kind to yourself, just as you would advise others here to be on themselves. You are a lovely person Peri, one of life's true gems.  But you really are extremely hard on yourself, and that comes across in your posts sometimes.

I'm glad you enjoyed Pilates when you tried it some years back.  Is there any chance you could do it again?  Or perhaps yoga or Tai Chi would be an option for you as well?  Worth looking into.

Did you end up giving your dogs a bath the other day?  Its been very mild here, in fact one of the mildest summers we have had in a very long time.  Cant help wondering if it will now be a very hot March in an effort to make up for the lack of heat between Dec and Feb.  I hope that doesnt happen, but it wouldnt surprise me if it did.

I'm sorry you feel so alone Peri ... and I am very glad that having your friends here gives you a sense that you are not completely alone.  Please know that you can come here any time at all, to any thread here, and seek company when you need it.  I know its not the same as a real life friendship, but it is something.

Do you have your grand daughter this weekend?

Wishing you a sense of peace too Peri, and sending you a lot of love.

Emelia 🤗💕

Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Thank you @Emelia8 , what a lovely post.

no i didn’t bathe the dogs, I will do it this weekend,  and yes my little granddaughter is here it cheers me so.

i am thinking of you especially these few days, and sending you strength and love. You have so much to contend with and you manage it all so competently and without complaining. I admire that. I am a bit of a misery I think, though I try not to be, I am just not one of nature’s sunny people. I would like to be.  I have a sister who is and she is a delight. Perhaps I will try it on and see how it feels!

love peri

Em, I'm late today with your picture. I'm sorry. I can't seem to function today. Tired.

I know we both love sunflowers so I thought this was perfect for today. I hope you are able to rest with your early rise today. Love you more @Emelia8

Hi Emelia

Yes I did join a while ago. What brought me back was that I'm still struggling with the depression and the Sane site came up on Facebook. So I thought I would tap into it. I am really glad that I did, because I have been so encouraged by the responses to what I have posted.
As one of the contributors said they wanted to connect with someone/ people who "get it". People who have been through mental health issues themselves  do understand and it helps a lot.
Thank you for replying to my post, I am really grateful

love and encouragement towards you
