But there's an argument for being open about methods, too, isn't there? I mean when people go and DIY it, because they don't know how to do it effectively, you can end up with some really really bad horror stories. I've heard about botched attempts that have left people completely paralyzed and worse. You could argue that it might've been better for them to know how to do it effectively.

Its hard also - you say you dont want to live etc but if you say that you wont act on those feelings then you to tend to not get support either. They then think there is no risk so no need to support.
