Was in a long term relationship with a nassist 4 years ago, have decided to start dating again and been together with my new partner for 4 months but I'm having alot of trouble trusting him and I have very low self-esteem which is braking us up

Me too, @Tinkerbell12. Just trust as you are able. Don't negate your concerns, just keep them unobtrusively in mind. Trust is hard earned, as it should be. It protects us.
