Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
It's more of his control issues kicking in as he panics over S2, and is cringing internally at what the pdoc has said so far .....

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
Apparently I am also a lazy 'house person'
Darling is not at all confident or happy with my house keeping efforts.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
Self care for me is getting in someone every now and then to clean our place. Mr Darcy is too nice to mention my house keeping efforts as if he did it could be thought of as criticising - even though it would be telling it like it is - housework it is not one of my strong points at all. At the moment there is a smell in the junk room and I am worried it might be a dead rat as I put bait out following suspected rodent activity. I don't know where to start looking LOL.
Just wanted to say a quick "thinking of you all" as am going out for the evening.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
I was really helped and learned something by the talk patientpatient posted in another thread and I added link in the "whats new" tab, "when mental illness enters a family". At last pdoc appt I said Mr D not so good, did not articulate clearly why I thought this. I am ready for next appt with info set out under headings given - changes in mood, behaviour and thought processes and the improvements I have noticed since meds adjusted - we did have one hiccup - he has picked up again so hoping it is a small trough on uphill climb.
