Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
Being here for me is wonderful @Former-Member,xx
have no friends and my Husband does not want to tell our mum`s yet as they are in their 80`s and it would increase their worry about us
this time it was different because I had my forum family with me not like before

Goodmorning @Shaz51
Oh you poor thing, worried about hubby and getting a headache too, glad you are taking the rest of the day off so you can relax/rest if you can, it seems like your body is telling you too

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness
@Shaz51 Are you able to talk with hubbys Doctor and schedule an appointment for this week. Maybe before he shuts down again. Give hubby a plan, today we take it easy but tomorrow we will do this, and so on. He may hate it but structure is good. Bring a routine in to fall back on when all you want to do is rest and not think. Write the routine down so all you both have to do is look at that list on the fridge. Basic stuff like, Lunch, sit outside, watch the birds, whatever he shows an interest in. Tv time, rest time, bed time. My pysc told me to do this with daughter and I was amazed how it took pressure off both of us
