Thank you @Dimity
My aunty ( mum's sister ) thinks she should stay in hospital and have ongoing care
Or to get a carer to come while we are a work for 4 to 6 hours daily during the week
It is a hard decision to make and mum listens more to her sister than me

@Shaz51 Well it's a help then if your aunty agrees your mum isn't ready to come home yet.
There's probably paperwork and a special assessment for the right aged care package to get your mum a carer during the day. There seem to be a lot of providers online (like Mable) as well as all the established services, one might be able to help you get it organised. Ì'll dip out at this stage, I don't know enough about it, but I wish you all the very best.

Yep indeed @Shaz51 ! It’s a lot to take on. I really hope you can work it out. So hard to see your mum in pain and in the situation but you have to do what’s best for yourself and Mr Shaz too.
❤️

It can be really tough @Shaz51. I can find it a lot harder to express or assert my own needs than those a loved one. One thing that really helps me is a reminder (so often echoed by another loved one who is especially caring of me) that me, and my needs are also just as important. I feel like this is especially true when you are a carer or supporting someone. Wishing you whatever strength and courage you may need to speak, and sitting here with you. 💛
