Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

I totally get that @soul, have a family member like that, problem is it is done in such a way that when it is called for what it is the cry foul and look like the victim. I find not being able to be open an honest with family is one of the hardest battels so feel gor you there.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

I'm trying to convince myself that things will get better. Feeling like I'm stuck in an abyss. I know what I should do but the actual doing is proving to be a challenge.

@soul I'm glad to see you back, I too have been thinking about you. It doesnt sound like yesterday or wednesday were easy and I am sorry that the topic wednesday was a trigger for you.

Even though you have been trying to convince yourself that things will get better, I think one thing that stands out about you is your strength and courage. These are amazing qualities to have and will see you through these challenging times.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Kind words @Former-Member. Sometimes courage and strength evade me. Tonight however I snapped the head off a chocolate Easter bunny and ate it so maybe that's a positive.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

The hard part there (for me anyway) @soul is like with  any other major project, 80% ir more of the work needs to be done before any progress is seen.

There have been times when someone has had to point out to me you were at a now you are here at d or e, look how far you have come, and its like wow, i have come a long way.

I cant think of a better way of explaining that but it is intended as some form of encouragement,

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

As for triggers @Former-Member I imagine that as time passes, these will have less of a detrimental effect. I know it's important to have things to loook forward to. Sometimes it's too much of an effort to put that in place if they don't automatically happen.

I'm alternating between wanting to run away and curling up into a ball.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

And speaking of curling up in a ball, I think I'll try to get some sleep. Been awake since 4:15am. Catch up with you over the weekend.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

@soul, I could imagine a high school reunion being more than a bit hard. I was a high achiever at school, deliberately put everything on hold to have kids, but haven't been able to put the qualifications I've gotten since then to much use because I've been a carer for others, or dealing with my own health issues. I haven't got any old classmates in my current circle of friends, so theres no-one I'd be all that eager to catch up with anyhow.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Trust you get some rest @soul, nodding off here myself,

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hope you get some good sleep @soul

My sister tells everyone that you have to eat a chocolate bunny's ears first so it doesn't hear you coming, and then its legs so it can't run away... so you're doing it right.
