Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Good evening @maddison @Shaz51 @Former-Member @EternalFlower @Serenity2 @ I too love nature and find rivers particularly beautiful and calming to watch.

I love trees, animals and bird watching. All favourite past times I should commit too on a regular basis. Too much inside time this winter 🌹🌹🌹🌹.

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Hey @Former-Member your comment about the angry cicada made me smile & a tiny laugh... That's saying lots cause I'm having difficult time right now. It was perfect timing for me to read. You are beautiful person - I like that you said ' everyone deserves love'. I didn't realise I maybe wasn't valuing myself - I still think at times, other members may need more support than me & I'm happy they have you to talk to - our personal needs &/or crisis fluctuate. It's a great note to self tho, that I'm also equally worthy... We all are💚

I'm glad you are here & i feel like you have a kind & easy to talk to vibe☀️

Hi @Former-Member oh yes rivers are beautiful.. The sound & movement - the water can go so fast but it feels safe because they are small. I would like to go visit a river soon.

I think a bird watching thread was started recently... Maybe @Former-Member ? I absolutely love those very tiny tiny birds that jump from branch to branch. I feel like they have attitude! We still have so many crows around here. It's kind of odd. They have not been this active in years previous. I have a new neighbour (I haven't had a chance to speak to her yet, she seems really lovely) I'm thinking the crows came with the new neighbour??😄

I really like all your 🌹🌹🌹🌹!

Def agree we need to put more emphasis on favourite pastimes.

Ooh, I read a quote last night

Your way of saying it was better!

Welcome..again @Serenity2 😊 that's awesome that you are enjoying SANE. It's so cool you are here!! SO many  really great members to chat with & It's a good point U said about learning. I wasn't really expecting, hadn't anticipated I would learn...I don't know why?!

I listen to visualisation meditation most nights. I did try hypnosis type - but found out it wasn't quite for me. I guess the two are very similar. That's ok, we are all different.

@Shaz51 you are lucky to hear frogs at night. I didn't know geckos made a sound? Do they? Lol 💜

@EternalFlower yay for night sky! It made me start to think - what is my favourite 'nature'?

I'm going to add huge waves to the list.

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Hey @EternalFlower

I have just moved and the night sky is lit up with city light. It is actually so beautiful, I have not absorbed the beauty of night for a long time. I will try to get some snaps tonight and send them through 🌃 @Shaz51 @maddison @Former-Member @Serenity2

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Glad I could make you laugh @maddison 😂. It is good for the soul. I laughed when I read your post and got that image in my head.

And everyone is worthy of love and support. You are right about it fluctuating but I love this acknowledgement, otherwise I would just feel uncertain of my worthiness because sometime I feel good and sometimes I don't. During the bad times, I might think to myself that I don't deserve love and support because I have had good times and vice versa. Hope that made sense 🤔

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

@maddison, I'm sorry to hear you've been having a difficult time lately ❤️ I'm glad things in this thread have been useful for you. And even though we're all equally worthy, I know a lot of feel others are more worthy. I think it shows that we have a lot of care for those around us. But as you say, our needs fluctuate all the time. How are you feeling today?

And yes, @Former-Member started the thread Anyone here for birdwatching? And maybe bird photography! and it's lovely 😊

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

I reckon birds @Shaz51, but I did just listen to this podcast on UFOs! Or rather, it's an interview with people who research the historical context of UFO sightings and things. It's super interesting! https://www.alieward.com/ologies/ufology?rq=UFO

Also, beautiful photography!

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Hi @Former-Member thankyou for catching up with me.

Big needs for me today! I am in the 'needing extra support' group at the moment.

I am proud of myself for recognising this & reaching out to services to help me through this evening. Thankyou for your care.

How are things for you?
