Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Good night to what has been a rough day

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

@MDT , I hope tomorrow brings a better day for you.

@Shaz51 @HenryX , it’s very humid here in Sydney. I’m not used to this humidity so I’m finding I can’t do as much as I’d like. Covid is rampant in Sydney and Melbourne. I’ve resigned to the fact that it’s just a matter of time for me. I’m not careless, but I’m not fearful either. Hope you’re both okay!

Today, I had lunch out, then spent the rest of the day at the beach to escape the humidity. After, I took the kids for a walk.

Trying to wind down and sleep now but sleep is running away from me!

With much appreciation,

BPDSurvivor

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Thanks @Shaz51

Yes, I addressed you in the initial greeting and then again in reference to having 'copied and pasted' forum addresses from your earlier post.

Thank you for letting me know that your link was successful.

Best Wishes

@HenryX

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Thanks @BPDSurvivor

It was hard..

I still feel so ordinary and flat and empty

I had 2 nightmares last. Woke up from both.

So many decisions to make and judgement calls

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

I hope things turn to get better for you @MDT .

Is there anything we can do to help you feel a bit better? I’m here if you need anything.

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Idk @BPDSurvivor

I feel empty

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

@BPDSurvivor

So good to hear your balanced attitude to dealing with with the current concerns.  Accepting.  Not careless.  Not fearful.  Taking productive steps that you can.  Kids at beach with slip slop slap is probably one of the best things to do to boost immune systems.

Ahh @MDT  Filling ourselves and emptying ourselves seems like a life long process to me. It will ebb & flow.

I do not approve that DSM promotes such an unscientific concept as "feelings of emptiness" as a serious diagnostic tool.

Need to find tools that allow us refresh and revive.  At different stages of life the demands are high.

Good to see ya @Appleblossom
🙂

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Hello @MDT , @Appleblossom , @BPDSurvivor , @HenryX , @Jynx

Had one little job this morning

Was going to do some weeding but Mr shaz has fallen asleep and it looks like rain again

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Yeah @MDT , feeling ‘empty’ isn’t pleasant. I remember feeling empty for years (as part of my BPD diagnosis)… today I can truly say I am absolutely fulfilled, satisfied and content.

Your last post, ‘I feel empty’, has made me really reflect on what happened between chronic emptiness to complete satifisfaction. I wish I could give you an answer right now, but I think I need more time to consider it. I’m not sure if I really simply stopped focusing on the empty feeling?

Ill see if I can explain it to you in a way that is helpful to you. But yes, I agree sitting with emptiness and void is not a great space.

I hear you and am with you,

BPDSurvivor
