Bye Dad :-(

Just a brief little vent,

We lost my father-in-law yesterday. 

I have been supporting Dad since mum passed 5 years ago,
For the past 18 months since transitioning to age care, advocating and visiting daily.
Now feeling lost p*$$3d off and angry, about what I don't know.

Trying to hold it together for my darling who struggles to hold it together on a good day. And for our 3 boys. 

We have some amazing supports around us though so most grateful for that.
And Dads transition to passing was peaceful and mercifully brief so grateful for that also.

I lost my Dad 19 years ago, taking nothing away from my own Dad,
Dad(in-law) has been like a Dad to me for more than 25 years. 
So blessed to have had him and mum-in-law in my life.

So sorry for your loss @Determined ….. go gently on yourself.  The feelings will roller-coaster all over the place, and anger is one of them.  So glad for the positives you can see, but loss is loss, and with so much else to deal with daily it can seem so unfair, even if that is illogical.

Darling and 3 boys are holding together ok at the moment. 

S3 (8yo) has been remarkably mature and such a joy and encouragement. 

He has had moments of tears but has also a remarkable faith based outlook on life with out his Pa. 

Other than that it is like we are all holding our breath at least until the funeral.
