There is absolutely a danger of that @Phoenix_Rising. PTG can't be foisted onto someone. It's something people come to in their own time, gradually, through their own interpretation of what's changed for them.
But it's not a terribly well known concept so I thought it worth flagging as something worth considering.

@Phoenix_Rising you have said it so eloquently.

Hi @BlueBay,
I don't want to speak for @CheerBear, but I'm wondering if she means that we tend to internalise the stories that others tell about us. For example, my previous psychologist told me I was a stupid f*cking borderline who could only ever be contained and managed. Consequently, when I am super struggling, I see myself as a stupid f*cking borderline who can only ever be contained and managed. You see? The story I tell myself is that which I've been told by another.

Ooooh let's have that debate one day @Former-Member and @Former-Member...although it sounds like we may all be on the same side.

I don't like that saying either @Phoenix_Rising "What doesn't k...l us makes us stronger" - it makes you worn out & sick, that's what it really does...
I'm okay with Resilient though.
I don't feel Resilient at all, but I take it as a big compliment when my psychologist says that I am...
