We will have to wrap up our questions very soon, so one last question from us:
Question 6: On the forums, we have seen lots of people reaching out looking for help. Where are places that people can go to find help and support for OCD?

Thanks @NatureLover Much appreciated.
My trauma was sexual (SA), severe neglect, emotional & physical abuse.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is classed as an "Anxiety Disorder"...
Yes OCD as well.

For me the OCD support group was a great stepping stone. It allowed me to learn from others who were at different stages of their recovery journey. It allowed me the opportunity to start talking about my thoughts and feelings in a safe environment. You can find our support groups here....https://www.arcvic.org.au/our-services/zoom-support-groups
ARCVic was founded around a kitchen table 30yrs ago by people with anxiety and OCD. And even now there are members on our board who have roots to the founding partners. Lived experience is at the center of who we are and all our volunteers (either on our Helpline or in our Support Groups) have some form of lived experience.
ARCVic also has specialised groups for Trichotillomania (Hair Pulling), Dermotillomania (Skin Picking), Hoarding and other specialised Anxiety Disorders.

I can relate to that @Former-Member 🙂
And @Shaz51 - all the OCD thoughts (about germs in my case) are exhausting. I have to constantly try to figure out the history of every item I touch, and classify it into about 4 levels of dirtiness in my head. Keeping track of all that is a full-time job, not to mention trying to avoid contamination of other objects.
