In a broad sense; what first came to mind was a beautiful diverse group of misfits who challenge the status quo, having fun doing it & being able to be themselves & share that with the world. Hahaha….
I like that. But, IMHO, "diverse" has become such a loaded word in this day and age.
I'm all for "diversity" in a way... but I'm sick to death of people who are so far flung from me that I have no hope of understanding them, what makes them tick, or how on earth I'm supposed to handle them.
I've got nothing against a diverse community - so long as that diversity is sufficiently constrained that I can still understand them all, and feel a solid bond of commonality between us.

How do you find others who share your dream of communities
Well as we know from here on the forums you can find some online or in your local community spaces.
A quick brainstorm & options might be through:

It has been an ongoing process. The community in which I live and the activities that I mentioned earlier have offered me considerable support. Sometimes, I have said yes to an invitation when I would otherwise have hesitated. There have been situations where, having smiled in response to observations have opened doors and even caused barriers to diminish in difficulty of 'getting through'. I am currently talking with a counsellor about issues and barriers (internal) that I have postponed addressing, probably for much longer than I should have. More to follow.... but that's a start
