Hey Forum Folks,
In the upcoming days (Feb 2025), we will be implementing a change to email notifications.
This means, instead of being able to read the post from your email, you will be required to click on the thread title in the email to take you back to the forums to read the post.
The purpose of this change is:
1) To ensure moderators are able to access and moderate posts instead of having them sent directly to members unmoderated; and
2) To support members to post on the forums instead of replying to email notifications - particularly new members.
We recognise this change can cause some level of inconvenience, but we hope that this change will be supportive of the Community in the long run.

@tyme does that mean there will be further delays in receiving the emails? Just thinking about the consistent glitches

Hey @avant-garde , not at all. It will be the same as now. The only difference is you won't get the whole post emailed to you. But the timing will be the same.

@tyme I turned off email notifications a year ago. They were superfluous to my needs.
Moreover, will we ever get to have Peer Group Chat again?

@tyme follow-ups can be hard graft.
Hang in there 🌼

Does this require us tapping on actual threads we have written on ?
Sounds good to me because you do feel safer having everything checked by moderators before it coming online

Hey @PeppyPatti ,
Thanks for your question. So currrently, when you get an email notification, the thread title is there as the post is also in the email. To respond, you click on the email and it takes you to the post on the forums.
This will remain the same EXCEPT a copy of the actual text in the post won't be in your email.
Doing this won't be fool-proof in totally eliminating people from reading posts before moderators get to them, but it gives mods additional time to edit/remove anything that doesn't not align with guidelines; which also means members will not see a post in their inbox which modeartors have removed from the forums.
Hope that makes sense.
