Sorry I have a couple of questions. I guess the biggest one is how often and how much time should be spent on mindfulness?

Yes that is absolutely fine! Do whatever you can but make sure your mind stays alert!

No problems Teej, I'm so happy you are curious about mindfulness. I am not fussed how much time you should spend practising mindfulness - however, I am far more concerned about how regularly you practise. You see 5 minutes per day is better than say 1 hour per week. It is important you develop into your life as a regular habit. So start off small, like for 5 minutes and if that seems easly slowly increase it. It is more about your intention and the quality of your practise than just ticking a box saying sometimes you practise mindfulenss.

I guess the second and final question for tonight would be do you have to be in a certain frame of mind to practice mindfulness? This relates a little bit to the first question of mine tonight about distraction vs mindfulness. I guess I'm wondering if there is some criteria around when not to try it.
