Re: Studying support

Yes! @outlander for my Individual Support course I had to do 3 weeks of placement and a lot of ticking and fluffing around with the work given.

How is it going for you?

Re: Studying support

i already work in the industry so i didnt need to to workplace as such mostly just needed someone to sign stuff off. as the team leader i had to find another senior staff member to do it for me though which is abit of a pain but im almost done now. im just about finished one certificate, the other has a couple of assignments left to do. once thats done and finalized i can move onto bigger courses

i find i have to be in the right mental space to study otherwise i just get to bored and frustrated and start procrastinating @fluffylight

Re: Studying support

@outlander Oo what is the bigger courses looking like? What kind of courses interest you?

I find the same thing happens to me but I'm learning to not shame that part of me and trust that its all part of the process to finish what I need too ðŸ˜…

I'll be off today to complete my last assignment for the semester!

Sending lots of light,

fluffy light x

Re: Studying support

im hoping to branch more into peer support work @fluffylight ive completed a couple of cert 4s in disability and individual support so im looking into a diploma in one of those or possibly nutrition and health.
i want to provide more personalized support for those with disabilities and mental health issues

Re: Studying support

This is a great thread you have started here @outlander

I’m still fluffing through my health science degree and passing everything.

My biggest challenge is procrastination but I’m getting there and really am enjoying the study.

I’m now one week ahead and have made a start on my next major assessment.

Thanks again Outlander and have a great night.

Re: Studying support

Here again, Study Thoughts , My Trainer has offered a further extention of two weeks to complete unfinished Assignments , This time I kind of almost half refused as Im dissapointed with myself for how things went with study and dont really feel I desrve an extra chance to change it ,Guess you could say Ive dissapointed myself more than anyone and just given into the idea that it was possibly all a waste of time and a wasted oppurtunity, so much on my mind in general over last two days in regards to not just study

Re: Studying support

hey @Eve7 urgh that procrastion! i feel you! it can be so hard and frustrating! i find i have to have whatever is occupying my mind done before i study (ie if i see a sink full of dishes itll bother me till i do them and wont study till its done)

its awesome that your one week ahead!

Re: Studying support

@LostAngel if you only have one or 2 more assignments then i say go for it. i know its hard but its your so close to finishing then it might be worth finishing that one or 2 left that you need to do

Re: Studying support

Thanks for the encouragement @outlander

I have a quiz to do before Monday that is doing my head in 👹

Re: Studying support

Tafe is on hold for me at the moment @Eve7 ive RPL'd so many courses in that i dont have many modules to do and im basically a year ahead. i cant progress with any more assignments now until i do the 2 tafe role plays but i need to book in to do that. the next date isnt till august now but once ive done that i only have 5 assignments to do including the 2 role plays. im hoping to be finished by the end of the year. i done 9 quizzes a couple of days ago to smash out what i could while i had time and brain power.

im sure your quiz will be ok. is it online? can you use your resources to help you complete it
