2025 - study group

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

Ooooh @Blackcloud that is awesome!! Stoked for ya!

How you been travelling hun?

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

Hi @Jynx yeah not too bad. I’m pretty bored right now and just resting in bed but I am gonna be going for a wisdom teeth removal (on my left side) tomorrow afternoon so ugh yeah, after that procedure wouldn’t be fun tho since it requires me to be in bed for hours and I’d have to take certain remedies&medications and only eat certain foods.

I’m glad I’ve already got the mashed potato cooked though that my support worker was able to make for me last week.

Regarding the Cert 4 in MH Peer Work I’m not sure when I’ll be able to do it but I’ll see when I get to next semester (if I’m able to get into my bachelors degree in fine arts or not lol)

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

@Blackcloud oh noooo not the wisdom teeth pull 😖 yowza!!

Yes much mashed potato and scrambled eggs ahead of ya!! I got one wisdom tooth left - I think it'll need surgery too, cos it's all wonky and sideways and messing with my sinus!! Not fun 😅 I wish you a swift recovery!!

Oh niiiiice!! It's all happening for ya, study-wise ain't it? I love learning!

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

@Jynx yes 🥲 I just hope that it won’t cause me to delay my studies within a few days or something.
Anyways, I’m taking a bit of a break from studying right now since I need a bit of a refresh in my head as I’ve been working on my assignments day by day… but I will be coming back to it again tonight if that’s possible..

Yeah, I’m currently doing 2 units in the undergraduate certificate in fine art and one of the entry requirements for one of the universities here in Melbourne I wanna go to for Bachelor in Fine Arts has an entry requirement (in the ‘university study’ category) that you’d need to complete/pass at least 2 units  within an undergraduate based course that’s of a relevant field. So I hope I can pass all the assessments within both these units by almost the end of June before I can submit my mid-year application for the bachelors degree the week or days before the VTAC mid year application end date concludes. Unfortunately the VTAC applications for mid year intakes end on the first week of July on a Friday, so uh..😬 yeah…😬

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

@Blackcloud a break is always good hey! Gotta replenish your energy 😊

Ohhh my that sounds like quite a time crunch!! I keep all my digits crossed 🤞 for no delays on your assessments getting marked and everything!

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

@Jynx Thank you, and I pray for it too *prays*

I know you've mentioned to me last time that you did a Bachelor of Counselling, did you also had to do a cert iv of mental health peer work as well by any chance? cause i wonder if there's anyone that has done a bachelors in either psychology or counselling that also had to do a cert 4 in mental health peer work in order to become a mental health peer worker?

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

@Blackcloud not actually sure - I don't have the cert IV yet but it's been on my radar... but I have also been with SANE for a while so I'm not sure what the requirements are anymore!

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

@Jynx no worries then, hence I was considering on taking the psychology units as the electives for the Bachelor in Fine Arts degree (if I do get into it next semester or even next year) so I wonder how that’ll all go by the time I get there.

by the way I didn’t realise this until the student accomodation agent just told me today, that for the private/individual rooms - the accomodations that have ALL the bills covered within the rent are generally $500 a week, whereas the accomodations that don’t have all the bills covered would be less than that. So I’m like.. no wonder the one I currently live at requires me to pay $500 a week since it does indeed cover all those bills (internet, water, electricity, AC) within the rent price… 😮 i was quite surprised that that was the case! I honestly thought it was more of a living in the inner CBD vs living outside the CBD issue, I mean I guess it kind of is because some or most student accomodations in the CBD are generally pretty/very expensive with the individual rooms…

Are you familiar with private rental apartments by any chance? 🤔

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

@Blackcloud I mean I've been renting for quite some time, just through real estate agents though, is that what you mean?

Re: 2025 - Study Group!

@Jynx  I’m not very familiar with what real estate agents do so I’m not sure if I mean exactly that
