A bit late to the party, @Shaz51, but as you've asked, my name expresses my love for history—especially British—and for (much of) everything that is old. Old architecture that tells the story of the people of its age; certain older values, antiques and antique jewellery, art, craftsmanship that baffles modern minds with modern tools. I love my ancestry which tells an historic story. I love being one link in a long historic chain.

I've been wanting to Re-connect with my Forum Friends for a long time.

Ive thoroughly enjoyed reading the meanings behind the forum user names, so I guess its my turn...!

But first, I haven't met you before @Adge however I read your post you were in hospital/recently in hospital, and I wanted to gently ask how you are. Please feel free to reply at your leisure, and if you'd prefer not, then that's completely ok too 🙂

Well, me: I love flamingos 😍

They have grace, poise, a strong sense of community and social connectedness, and they are said to represent beauty, balance, and harmony. 

Being latin/Spanish for fire, their feathers wisp like flames dancing with the brightness of a fire in the breeze, while they purposefully stride amongst the flock, working together and yet are individuals unique to themselves. 

Much of what a flamingo is I relate to in some ways 🙂

And the Pink is because I was sometimes called Pinkie when I was young... to this day, I have no idea why, but it stuck! 😁👍
