Fifth National Mental Health Plan

Hi everyone,

On Tuesday night we hosted one of our most popular Topic Tuesday sessions. The topic was Mental Health Reform and we were lucky enough to have @FrankGQuinlan, CEO at Mental Health Australia (MHA) join us.

For those interested in reading the draft of the Fifth National Mental Health Plan, you can find it here (For those viewing this through our app, copy and paste http://www.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/content/8F54F3C4F313E0B1CA258052000ED5C5/$File... in your internet browser)

Some of the big issues talked about on Tuesday night included:

  • Safety in hospitals
  • Quality of services
  • How do carers get involved when they are worried about a loved one?
  • Transparency
  • 10 bulk billed appointments with a psychologist isn't enough

It was an amazing session, which you can read in full here
