Hugs @lighthouse22 no judgement here. Yes therapists are a mixed bunch.
I had one for years who abruptly wound up our sessions. I later learnt he was struck off, reinstated, and struck off again.
I'm still digesting my last couple of days.Yesterday's therapy, and today's visit to a specialist. I'm tired, and very depressed, so trying not to overthink things.
Take care.

Morning @Dimity
That's awful. Thank you for your message. I hope you banked some sleep.
Yes I'm in the same boat. Triggering weekend, emdr still processing in my body after session and my brain loves to overthink things too.
Something to focus on at next weeks session, so thank you 🙂
Have a good day ahead *

@lighthouse22 I found I carried the effects of trauma resurfacing in EMDR in my body too but had a couple of suggestions from the therapist on movements and bilateral patting to help.
Not a good day today. I slept late and woke to a neighbour knocking to check on me as I'd forgotten to put out the bins. I'm not coping well.

Awww @Dimity ,
Sorry to hear you are not coping well.
Is there something we can do to help at this time?
I'm glad your neighbour watches for you.

Sorry to hear it wasn't a good day @Dimity. At least you have a good neighbour. Not sure i'd be happy about being woken like that (I've never been a morning person) but it's nice to know they're looking out for you.
I hope tomorrow is a better day, we're here for you either way. Take good care of yourself.

@Dimity Sorry to hear you are not coping well currently.
try to take things easy and get lots of rest.
Last couple of appointments with my therapist we have talked about places I can go to in my mind in which I feel safe plus couple other things to start to try to do in preparation for starting EMDR.
hi @tyme yesterday I had appointment with opthamologist. He has relaxed atmosphere about him, put my mind at ease by providing lots of information plus answered my questions. I have hospital appointment for 2 October for cataract surgery. I had quiet chuckle to myself when he said to the receptionist, “she will be staying overnight with us”. Easiest and more feasible for me to stay overnight in the hospital and be discharged following day after seeing the opthamologist. Current plans are 4 weeks later I will have other eye done.
next 4 weeks are going to travel so quickly. Hoping to finish adding additional lining to my drapes during that time. Focusing on getting the important ones down which include drapes on sliding glass doors that measure approx 3metres across.
hi @NatureLover @Shaz51 hope you are both well

Hey @Patches59 ,
It seems like many people have cataract surgery now.. is that right?
I hope it goes well with you and goes smoothly. So you've still got a month or so.
Will you have someone to look after your cats?

its nice to know that others are thinking of you, that's a kind of your neighbor. mine does the same when I forget the bins too.
I'm sorry to hear you are not coping. Did you give the patting technique a try?
Do you like animals or do you have one? I have a support dog, he is only a puppy. I wish I had got him a lot sooner.
