Re: not coping

definently get checked out @creative_writer i would encourage as soon as possible just in case its something else. it might be good to see a neurologist as well to help manage your migraines and the effects.

Re: not coping

@outlander, the waitlists are crazy, but you can only do what you can. Health is also so expensive as Australia moves to privatisation 😞. You used to be able to find plenty of psychs who didn’t have a gap fees, but now that is even hard

Re: not coping

Hey @outlander ,

I'm just catching up on your posts from a few days.

I'm so so sorry to hear that it's so hard still. It must be hard for supports to be chopping and changing all the time. I can only imagine the effect that has on people.

Please know we are all ears. You deserve the best.

Re: not coping

it is hard @creative_writer but the wait can be worth it.

Re: not coping

hey @tyme

yeah its still hard. hopefully after all the specialists appt i can have things better managed but will be hard starting with a new support worker. not sure im read for that yet to be honest because of all the changes.

Re: not coping

@outlander ,

That's totally understandable that you don't want to start all over again. It must be so hard especially with everything you are going through right now.

At the same time, what other options do you have? Is there someone else who can help you?

@outlander , people like you deserve so much more. You have given your everything to help others.

Re: not coping

i dont really have any other options @tyme

i pay privately because ive not heard from ndis nor do i know if ill even be lucky enough to get it. i just didnt want to have to start with someone new so early already but i have no other choice unless i do everything myself which i cant do.

Re: not coping

IF you go into hospital, do they have a social worker there or someone you can talk to about how to better support you? @outlander I'm just talking. I have no idea.

For me, I got a lot of support through my Area MH service who arranged everything when I needed it...but that started with hospital visits... so my case manager linked me with various support workers etc. to help me.

Re: not coping

@tyme as much as hospital support would probably be ok its just not posisble right now. one of my local mh hospitals have released a home care team that help with programs and stuff that would be similar as an in patient but from home so im enqurin about that but not till next week when ive finishedup all these appts. ive also spoken to a mh nurse who may be on board to assist me at a reduced rate if i pay privatley.

Re: not coping

@outlander, how are you feeling today? 💖
